I honestly can't drink beer in this weather. Had a lovely bottle of ale chilling in the fridge for what seems like forever, but the choice is always water when it comes to it!

From a uk perspective it’s fair enough point as it was something like 16 days of 90 degree heat

Apparently 2,500 died in the 2003 heatwave in the uk - I can’t even remember it

I remember it but I don’t think it was 30c+ for days on end, more like mid to upper 20s.

Our lad’s high school have just switched the last two days to half days, with the afternoons remote learning. So the poor sods finish at half twelve and have 60 minutes to get home for their afternoon lessons. Seems bizarre to me, just go all remote?!?

I'll probably end up sitting in the car, engine running, with the aircon on low.

The irony.

Never been happier to have a cellar, much cooler down there. Also helps that it contains a bar

It just randomly rained here for about 2 minutes and everybody was out in the street like key workers needed a futile gesture.

You could genuinely slow cook a meal if left out for most the day.

My main memory of that summer was being on the piss more or less daily, which might explain it.
