How many headers have we scored in the last few years? Can't be many. Any stattos out there that can whip up some comparison stats, please? Seems like we hardly score any....hopefully Simms is decent in the air! Possibly my favourite sort of goal is a powerful centre halves header direct from a corner.

Simms is a striker not a centre half mate! LOL!

Bidwell scored a rebound header against Bristol in January. Panzo scored a header too, can't remember who against.

Vik scored that 90+8 one vs Blackburn the season previously and that one that hit his face away at Blackpool, and Rose got a few that season, also.

Panzo in one of his first games, but became a bit of a 50p head after that.

Definitely seems to me that fewer headers get scored these days, back in the day there were alot more of those properly dominant centre forwards; Ferdinand, Dublin, Ferguson, Shearer etc.

Given the links to dementia it may not be a bad thing that its on its way out of the game.

This and Ostigard shushing Rotherham are the first that spring to mind

Its not often you see a header scored after the ball has bounced. Only Hamer and Allen are short enough to manage it.

Vik had one ricochet off his face if that counts?

Love a good bullet header. Fadz should score more than he does.

We scored 6 Headed Goals last season, same as Hull & Swansea.

Only Norwich scored fewer (4)

Middlesbrough & Burnley had the most (13)

Gyokeres 2
Palmer, Panzo, Bidwell & Godden 1 each.

I still dont know if that was face, arm. Or face via arm. Inconclusive. Was his goal. Factor in was 5 yards offside too.

Quite a few then
Not as bad as you might first think, just not our game really to score headed goals from open play.

We're a bit below average usually.

22/23 = 6 ~ 21st
21/22 = 9 ~ 12th
20/21 = 6 ~ 15th

What was interesting last season is we scored the fewest goals from set pieces in the league with 7 - 19% of our total goals.
Millwall had an incredible 24 which was 50% of their overall total!

Off the top of my head, of the 6 headers we scored, 3 were from set pieces (Gyokeres v Sheff Utd, Panzo v Swansea & Godden v Hull).

We also conceded the least from set pieces too with 6 - 18% of our total goals against.

I don't care how they hit the net a goal is a goal. As long as we are scoring I don't care: foot, head, arse, shin, heel or belly.... GOAL!!

Exactly. Don’t care how it goes in. Recall Walker scoring against Millwall in that 6-1 win using his family jewels.
