17 points clear of the relegation places with 13 games still left to play. That's a mighty fine position to be in.

Season form suggests we’ll finish higher than our previous best of 64 points too.

Next seasons push?

With our run in this season is just warming up. Half our games are against sides with nothing to play for. Half of the rest of them are against sides that are shite. Could easily have a playoff place secured before the last game against Middlesbrough.

All of the bottom 8 lost yesterday, barring Rotherham who go to Swansea tomorrow. If not careful Birmingham and QPR could easily get drawn in

Not a good time for our bed wetting fraternity winning games on a regular basis, well away from the relegation slots, even having the nerve to look like play-off material, Ben Wilson looking a safe bet now between the sticks and Jamie Allen having the cheek to level of consistency never dreamt of and the audacity to becscoring goals, even lose our next match (PNE) no shock there, losing to them never a great shock

Always worse to play a team at the end fighting against relegation than one in midtable that can't go up or down, too.

This thread is pathetic. We had a period of poor form, which we won what 1 in 10 or something straight after the world cup to which people were rightly worried about the form. I can't remember one person saying we would be relegated as we already had more than enough points on the board.

We have now turned the corner which is positive and all fans are elated about and we can start to look upwards now. It's going to be a massive ask to peg back those 5 points, but we just need to take 1 game at a time.

Anyone who calls people bedwetters is a grade a cnut.

Considering the size of our squad, and the fire sale of Hyam along with O'Hare's injury, it's been a sensational season regardless really.
Great credit to the manager (again).

Such a shame having O'Hare out for the season, who knows what we could have achieved with him.

I disagree, the melt down from some every time there's some adversity is pathetic, and the never learn.

Prefer to play bottom sides away than top sides at home.

I agree he will get the best out of them. But still don't think it will be enough.

If their poor form carries on Birmingham at home could be very interesting for both teams.

tbf it's balanced by the OTT reaction when we win a game or two mind you.

That said, first time all season I've genuinely thought the playoffs might be doable - surefire defeat up next, then!

As someone who, a few weeks back, urged caution that we could be dragged downwards if our form didn’t improve (and it didn’t look likely) it’s a bit of a poor show for fellow fans to actually gloat and mock other fans when there’s a positive result, when we both support the same team and want the same successes for our beloved club.

Some people are pessimistic by nature, some are worriers and some get by with blind optimism, which is indicative of how different we all are; but really, our love for our team shouldn’t cause a resort to mockery over a change of fortune, or a decent result. Isn’t it a bit immature?

Personally, I’m relieved and enthused that we’ve put some wins together, and that the reality of a play off spot is actually within our reach. I think this could (COULD) be similar to how we stormed the playoffs on L2, but then also, it could tail off.

Either way, there’s more of a gap between us and the drop zone, and for a club in our circumstances, with the injury problems and light squad, that’s a double positive.

Looking forward to that one. Will be flying back for the game. Can only see an easy win.

They should survive. But only because there are several teams just as bad as them.

I think Blue noses will survive league wise but this EFL charge hanging around their neck is a big worry to for them.

I agree, when in reality, since we've been back in the championship we've gone on these runs, good and bad, and Im sure we'll continue to do so unless we drastically improve the squad.
I've said consistently we'll be 12th to 16th, though win at Preston and I might start to think about the play offs.

Exactly this... booo hooo we lost a few games, everything is the worst, we are going down sort of attitude pisses me right off. If you can't look beyond one or two bad results you deserve to be ridiculed. We don't have the resources to piss the league and win every match.

We have a game in hand over most sides above us. Only 3 of our 13 games are against sides above us. 6 of our games are against the bottom 8 clubs.only 1 goal against us in the last 6 hours not including injury time. And we have the best striker in this division.

Yes we still have injuries but so do most clubs.

Massive ask? A couple of weeks ago we didn't have a game in hand on anyone and some sides had a game in hand over us. Yet we're still in the same place.

There is always a side who comes from nowhere. The only side I can see doing it this season is us. We easily have the best run in.

Can see us flirting with it but just falling short. If we can keep everyone fit we have a chance but we're probably 1 or 2 injuries away from not winning many more.

We don't have a game in hand on Luton or Millwall who are in 5th and 6th 5 points ahead of us, and both have +5 goal difference on us.

We've just won 3 on the bounce and not really moved so yes, it's doable but still a massive ask. We do have the best run in but we've basically got to pick up 6 more points than Millwall and Luton regardless of what others do.

One game at a time.

A draw is the worst outcome for us, puts them both 6 points ahead but a better goal difference meaning we probably need 7 points to overtake them.

Disagree. The season doesn't end after this game and we want an opportunity to overtake both. Only possibly need one of them, but need a sip in form regardless and rather have both 6 ahead than one with 8 ahead as there are other teams in the mix too. All we can do is a bit cliche but concentrate on our own results and let the rest take care of itself.
