What does that say to you Grenduffy?

It says plenty but not that he has been identified by Hoffman. Fairly obvious though if you fancy a bit of attention and a day out to call those two. Will keys and ranson join them as well?

@ SkyblueBazza....This enough proof for you?

American property tycoon Preston Haskell IV was back at the Ricoh Arena today, keen to make his presence felt and press ahead with plans to take over Coventry City and half of the stadium.
The 46-year-old multi-millionaire has confirmed to the Telegraph that he has written to the administrator of CCFC Ltd, Paul Appleton, expressing an interest in acquiring the football club as soon as possible.

I'm not backtracking. You're trumpeting Haskell as if it's already a done deal and he's bought loads of players. He hasn't yet. Things could go awry, so I think a little caution is necessary. I don't think there is ONE person on here who doesn't want new owners, not one, but really we must be patient and see what happens.

I'm not sheepish at all and really you calling someone else's posts "out of order" is a little rich. Lastly, regarding my remark to V15. He's a racist, so if the boot fits...

You said there is "Nobody out there" and "Hoffman won't be coming back on a white charger" you go sheepish with your statements, yet still try sarcasm with everyone who disagrees with you!....You were well out of order with your KKK remark to Valiant15
Banter is one thing but that's well OTT!

I'd be getting worried if I were you. You'd have to find a new excuse not to go.

Why would he need the "attention"?

While I'm desperate for some good to come of this or of anything at all, it does pay to be wary too. I mean, 'new owner courted by Joe Elliott, previously failed to take over another club' rings a few bells.

Exactly right. It's ridiculous not to be sceptical and question intent especially as their escort is the man who bought sisu to the club. The fact he has already tried to buy in elsewhere and failed brings further similarities to the current owners.

No point jumping out the frying pan straight into the fire.

If, by your last post...."If the boot fits" you are calling me a racist,( This is how it comes across to me), I would be very careful if I were you!

Not sticking up for Sisu, but attendances were already falling after the initial boost from moving to the Ricoh.

Re: 10k fans in League One....doesn't that say as much about our poor support as it does about sisu's poor stewardship?

Sheff Utd (c18k), Wednesday (c21k), Huddlesfield (c14-16k), forest (c20-28k), Norwich (c24.5k), Southampton (c20-22k), Leeds (c24.8k), Swansea (c13.5k), Leicester(c20k), charlton (c17.5k) and even Portsmouth this season (c12k) have all averaged higher gates than us in the third tier in the last 10 years.

Stu they've been here 6 years. Lets look at the figures

07-08 - 19k
08-09 - 17k
09-10 - 17k
10-11 - 16k
11-12 - 14k

See the trend?

8,000 fans lost since there control. Pretty sums up there tenure

What are you talking about? Can you not read? I said "Lastly, regarding my remark to V15. He's a racist, so if the boot fits..."

So, not I wasn't calling YOU a racist at all. I think my sentence made that more than clear so not sure why you made an issue of it.

Look at the averages for the other years at the Ricoh and see the real trend.

I wouldn't get involved. People are being way too precious.

On your previous point, totally agreed. Not just your points but also it was Elliott and Hoffman that brought sisu to the club wasn't it. Not saying it'll go the same way but people seem so desperate for something to happen that common sense disappears. It actually reminds me of when sisu were first touted. Learn from your mistakes. It must be done properly this time, any potential backer must be checked out rigorously.

Exactly. I think it's good to be optimistic and hopeful, but I've seen people say they'd happily give this guy the money they'd refuse to give SISU. I mean hold your horses (cowboy pun), we don't really know anything of him yet.

@ Grenduffy...

I don't need excuses to satisfy your whims about going to the Ricoh. Yaaawwwnnnnnn. I travel to away games, of which I have missed two(2)
There again, you already know this, as does everyone on this forum. I have also stated (This is the last time of telling you) When SISU have finally gone from the City, is when I come back to watching games at the Ricoh. As I've said before, I've probably watched more games than a lot of CCFC supporters this season, and in doing so have probably spent hundreds of pounds more in the process. The away games have been great times this year, and I won't let pricks like you spoil it for me either!

Don't think it was Elliott or Hoffman who brought sisu to the club but might be wrong. At the time we were a basket case up for grabs and sisu were looking to get hold of a club for some time.

Elliott was definitely involved. Not entirely certain about Hoffman

Hope that Elliott remembered to put his "ticking clock" back an hour last weekend, though putting it back about 15 years would possibly be better.

He'd better wait until December so "all our Christmases have come at once" can happen again.

How much of those "hundreds of pounds" go towards saving the club you claim to love? None.

Boycotting a football club long term isn't sensible political action of any sort. It's just harmful.

Well, anyone can be "interested". I could be. Let's see if it goes through and see what sort of owner he is before you start creaming.

Ha ha talk about back tracking! It might not go through because SISU will probably make it as difficult as possible. The fact is you stated that there would be no interested parties in buying the club if it went into admin. This alone already shows what little you know. If you now want to change your stance to "if it goes through", I will again enjoy highlighting your failings when CCFC resumes its existence with new owners. (To be fair you highlight them pretty well yourself!)
