As a side note in Simms, Asante and Wright we easily have the best striker options in the league.
The story goes that they turned down £20m over the summer! What if we put in a cheeky £12 million bid for Josh Sergeant?
Sergeant has scored less goals than Haji this season and is currently injured. We are in a strong position with Haji, even if he does want a move, and judging by his last 2 games I would say he doesn't want to leave. However. he is still widely regarded as a talent, and our best player. We'd make a profit if he left in Jan or the summer. And we all know he will probably come good soon and start scoring goals.
If a club offered £12-15 million in January, and we had a striker (say £10 million) lined up. A CF. A proper CF, like Simms can sometimes be then I'd cash in.

He does have injury issues, but he's one hell of a player. Norwich will sell below the reported £20 million asking fee with their issues this season. I'd take Sergeant over Wright.Sergeant has scored less goals than Haji this season and is currently injured.
Nah!He does have injury issues, but he's one hell of a player. Norwich will sell below the reported £20 million asking fee with their issues this season. I'd take Sergeant over Wright.
He is a very good player, but his stats this season don't really support that. Same with Haji which partly explains premier league interest. He does have injury issues, but he's one hell of a player. Norwich will sell below the reported £20 million asking fee with their issues this season. I'd take Sergeant over Wright.
Considering Vik went for £17.5m (initially), any bid of +£25m and I imagine Doug will even throw in a 50th Anniversary Shirt (#1/1975) for free.
Haji is a good Championship striker, but he isn’t even close to Gyokeres’ and is wildly inconsistent.
Pochettino wouldn't! We'd be absolutely mad to move Haji on this side of a World Cup, his value could really sky rocket if he does well there and we wouldn't be able to afford to keep him anyway. Even if he doesn't get a game he's become an international regular while with us...He does have injury issues, but he's one hell of a player. Norwich will sell below the reported £20 million asking fee with their issues this season. I'd take Sergeant over Wright.
Id take it if it was a one off payment and not installments..Surely 130 million is nowhere near enough !
Sargent is a great player and I think our coaching staff would improve his output. He does have injury issues, but he's one hell of a player. Norwich will sell below the reported £20 million asking fee with their issues this season. I'd take Sergeant over Wright.
Quite possibly.I think Haji is just preparing himself for the World Cup shop window.
Only striker I’d have to replace him is Josh Sargent, if we didn’t get him as a replacement then I wouldn’t sell him at all for any price. Sargent having a shit season but he’s the best striker in the league, would score for fun in our team
That’s what it would take in Jan given the position we’re in. I wouldn’t pick up the phone for less than 20.And - we’re never gonna get anywhere near £20 mil for Wright….
Then we aren't selling him in JanuaryAnd - we’re never gonna get anywhere near £20 mil for Wright….
Isn't it a bit different to that scenario anyway, what if the player likes an offer that may suit him, although I fail to see how? Then we aren't selling him in January
Would take more than that to sell him in JanAnd - we’re never gonna get anywhere near £20 mil for Wright….
he's under contract, he isn't going to go on strike in a world cup yearIsn't it a bit different to that scenario anyway, what if the player likes an offer that may suit him, although I fail to see how?

Maybe in the Minority but I've never seen the fuss with Sargent, did very little in the Prem and done nowt this season. 50 odd goals in 4 seasons is a bit meh He's good, but I'd be underwhelmed with him as our Main, "Marquee" Striker.
He always has a hot streak too. He’s played in the prem before and wasn’t v good, is v injury prone and it’s telling a Prem club haven't picked him yet.I think our fans have a skewed view as he normally scores against us. Which of course means he scores every week![]()
