How stupid of us to want one of the best players in the division (if he can get into shape and fit) who has proven to get G+A in the prem, if we can get him cheap? How stupid indeed

His legacy here is great already - let’s just remember him for the good times we had first time round rather than bring him back for an awkward reunion tour in the PL.

Our fans get so stuck in the past when it comes to ex-players and wanting them to come back. Undoubtedly next year when we’re in the Prem we’ll spend all summer clamouring for Callum
Wilson.
I'm not for Hamer coming back but not against the idea either. It would totally depend on which Hamer you get. The one like with us where he was shaped into a very good player, or there's the one constantly played out of position and isn't happy.

If he came back with his spark for playing for us it would be a top signing. But if he continues like now we could get better for the money.

I always found that he worked hard .. he seems to be less of a player at SU than he was here generally
He’s always been knackered at 70 minutes and it has been our/ sufc downfall. But now we seem to have a more professional approach to the whole game and good players to come on it may be less of a problem.

Then its a case of chaperoning him away from Nandos. He reminds me of Diego Maradonna in physique and his inclination to commit to whatever he’s doing…including food.

Guy is going to be 29 and has peaked in my opinion. He’s not looked after himself. He’s not the future of the club. We need to be looking at top upcoming talent that we can give playing time to and have huge re-sale value. The model we’ve adopted needs to continue but with higher calibre if we’re in the Prem.
unfortunately, i think you are right.
i'd love the peak hamer to come back, but his time spent at su has taken that from him. and it'd be too tough a road back.
