Does anyone recommend a podcast to follow team? I have watched City Unseen on YouTube.
First time supporting a team of any kind that isn’t local. It’s a bit more challenging.
Haha. I've never been to either. Whiz on a cheesesteak...ew. Those two places seem to draw mostly tourists.Yes!
Geno’s or Pat’s?
Well someone's got to eat all the dead stuff otherwise we'd end up like Birmingham (UK), and you don't want that.Buzzards are a little ominous since it usually means something is dead.
I’m going with the Peregrine Falcon.
the nii lampty podcast is by far the best in terms of content, really good discussions and analysis, just not as often as i’d like (probably averages once a month).Does anyone recommend a podcast to follow team? I have watched City Unseen on YouTube.

Got him!!!!Do you dream of working in Halfords?
It’s daft to have a second team. Just enjoy the moments when football brings moments to remember. Harborough Town is one team in that category.@Super Frank
Your next assignment is to pick at random a Non League team to support.
For your consideration, because it won't matter one way or the other, is the mighty Tudors. Given just their splashy King Henry logo

Harry, that’s not cricket.Do you believe that 'we will win' ? - apologies, I couldn't resist. Welcome to the family! PUSB!!
More of a joking suggestion, because also more US fans should explore more of the entire pyramid system as it's an entirely odd concept compared to like the NFL.It’s daft to have a second team. Actually, this blew my mind when I first discovered it. The entire idea of promotion and relegation. I was trying to imagine the New York Yankees having a bad season and being demoted from MLB to Triple A and then down the minor leagues. Was very intriguing. Then, just when I thought I had the entire thing figured out, I found out about Champions league, cup ties, Europa.More of a joking suggestion, because also more US fans should explore more of the entire pyramid system as it's an entirely odd concept compared to like the NFL.
Also, upon reflection, our new friend could easily have gone down a Wrexham or Sunderland rabbit hole. Shudders.

Then, just when I thought I had the entire thing figured out, I found out about Champions league, cup ties, Europa.. I’ve researched all the clubs until you get to non league. I know next to nothing about them. I narrowed it down to Coventry City, Crewe Alexandra or Leyton Orient and spent the first part of this season following all 3. You find what you keep gravitating towards vs what feels forced and uninteresting.
Honestly, I tried the Sunderland, Wrexham documentaries. Too many Americans like Wrexham (too trendy) and Sunderland supporters seemed like ……. (I’ll be nice. Not my kind of people).
As long as they don’t say things like “Ha’way the lads” or “Big Club”, I can ignore them.Wait until you find out Leicester fans have 6 fingers each hand.
Welcome and good choice. We are a million times more interesting as a club and City than Wrexham too... which bizarrely seems to have taken off over in States. A few regular posters on here are based in the US, so you never know there may be someone relatively nearby.
It’s literally an MLS club. I try, but I enjoy English football much more. It’s my first time following any sports team that isn’t local and will agree that it’s much more difficult without the feeling of history and community. Thanks for the advice though.Support your local

FC CincinnatiWhich MLS team is it?
You’ve picked a good era to start following us. I assume you’ve caught up with the last few years wonderful shenanigans?
That Giants ballpark is gorgeous!Just got back from the States, took in a play off game, Golden State Warriors v Houston Rockets, and went to see SF Giants baseball ⚾️
My family in San Francisco are all Skyblues.
Was Just there! Well, Pigeon Forge lol.Coventry supporter in Knoxville. Welcome aboard!!
I remember Ickey Woods and his shuffle when he scored a TD for the BengalsFC Cincinnati
I live in Covington, Kentucky which is directly across the river from Cincinnati Ohio. I have about a 15 minute commute to work in downtown Cincinnati. It seems like Coventry and Cincinnati are similar sized cities. (Our town has around 320K, so slightly smaller but a lot of us in nearby towns work and support the Cincinnati teams since they are the most local. Kentucky has zero professional sports clubs).

Coventry would be akin to Lexington
Also, still support FC Cincinnati. No reason you can't do both. It’s literally an MLS club. I try, but I enjoy English football much more. TQL Stadium is beautiful. Also, still support FC Cincinnati. No reason you can't do both.
Nothing beats going to live matches and you have a gem of a stadium just across the river from you. Can confirm as I went to a FCC-NSC match up there a year ago. FC Cincy has committed ownership that punches above its weight in the league. Sure those first few seasons were rough, but man they are a great team now that is willing to spend to chase titles. Not many smaller-market teams in the US would do the same.
My local team Harborough. I run my daughters u13s team there also. But the 1st team is doing wonders the last few years - awesome alongside supporting Cov. (And Rugby Town!)It’s daft to have a second team. Just enjoy the moments when football brings moments to remember. Harborough Town is one team in that category.
It certainly is, the family loved Candlestick Park, but the new one is beautifulThat Giants ballpark is gorgeous!
Ickey took the league by storm during that Super Bowl run. I was 13 and we were all doing the shuffleI remember Ickey Woods and his shuffle when he scored a TD for the Bengals
