Ickey took the league by storm during that Super Bowl run. I was 13 and we were all doing the shuffle 😂. Sadly injuries ended his career before he made big money. He was selling meat door to door at one point.
I started watching American Football in late 1980s and chose Buffalo as my team, I stayed up to watch their 4 Super Bowls and was disappointed but none more so than the missed kick (Scott Norwood?) and 23-21 loss to the Giants. I seem to remember that the Bengals were divisional rivals with the Browns, were the Bengals playing at Cleveland when the "Dawg Pound" was making so much noise that they switched play to the other end of the pitch?

FC Cincinnati

I live in Covington, Kentucky which is directly across the river from Cincinnati Ohio. I have about a 15 minute commute to work in downtown Cincinnati. It seems like Coventry and Cincinnati are similar sized cities. (Our town has around 320K, so slightly smaller but a lot of us in nearby towns work and support the Cincinnati teams since they are the most local. Kentucky has zero professional sports clubs).
I’ve had A Quick Look at FC Cincinnati squad and there’s a couple of names I recognise…Yedlin I know, and I think Evander was linked with us, albeit this was probably nonsense dreamt up on this forum! Perhaps you could seek him out and start selling him the dream!

Will you be planning a trip to watch us at any point?

Bills fans are a good group. They deserve a title soon

Yes, the Browns are our main rival. Cleveland is about 4 hours North of us. Opposite ends of the state of Ohio. Paul Brown, their Coach and founder (hence the team name) came to Cincinnati later and started the Bengals. His son, Mike Brown, is now team owner of the Bengals. Lots of ties there. Our stadium (until recently switched for corporate naming rights) was Paul Brown Stadium for years.

He'll never replace Dr Johnny Fever, but maybe Super Frank can put in a word for Clive?

Welcome Frank ... only joking, I used to love watching this when I was a kid.
