Wondering from memory what people think our greatest ever comeback victory was? I can’t remember us coming from more than 2 goals down in my thirty years supporting us…and before people say it, yes I’m not counting the FA Cup Semi Final even if we believe we won it. Any other nominations?

The FA cup final, no one gave us a chance, and when we went 1-0 down against a Spurs time full of world class talent, it didn't look good.

They had top class players like Hoddle, Waddle, Ardiles, Clements, Allen etc .... and we had Greg Downs, Nick Pickering, Lloyd McGrath and Micky Gynn.

But what fight and spirit we showed, Hero's everyone of them🩵🩵🩵

Maybe our greatest victory, but I wouldn’t really call it a great comeback victory.

Never really felt like we did comebacks until recently. Must have won 5 or 6 from losing positions last season. West Brom was the only one we were losing by 2 I think, so I'll go that one.

Southampton home in 85/86. 2-0 down to win 3-2. Alan Brazil scored (possibly his debut).

I was 9 and only remember it as I had the whole match coverage on VHS and my best mate was a Southampton fan which made Monday morning at school very enjoyable.

Screw you, Paul Jarvis!

Not a victory but the 3-3 against Wimbledon in the 90’s… maybe 95. We had a player sent off very early and went 1-3 down. Rennie bagged a later equaliser and 6000 people went mad inside Highfield road. 😎

Actually had 2 players sent off thinking about it. Although I feel like I’m making stuff up now…I’ll chat gpt it

Bristol City just after we were allowed back to games, down to 10 men, last minute winner, atmosphere was buzzing.
Forgot that one. I'll go with that too.

I'm sure we had back to back comeback wins in consecutive seasons against Peterborough about 10-15 years ago.

I remember absolutely loving them at the time, probably because it was pretty rare for us to turn a game around at all at that point.
Yes, I remember that exact same feeling. That winning in a high scoring game felt rare let alone a comeback win. Only really start to change with Robins.

What about the 3-3 at Portsmouth with 9 men? The best comeback was against United at Wembley even if it ultimately ended in glorious failure. The feelings that day - amazing.
Shipley had a chance to win it at Fratton Park too. Great night.

In the Premier league vs Wimbledon mid nineties. OK wasn't a win but felt like it at the time abit poppy away recently

I think were 3-1 down at home and drew 3-3 with nine men!

The Manchester United cup game is the only time I remember us coming from 3 down; have there been others?
Yeah, only one I can remember. My guess is that would be quite normal for a club that isn’t the top six, but couldn’t be sure of that.

Preston in the EFL cup was a goodun, 93rd and 94th
