My missus’ Dad can’t. They’re from a very rural area though.

Yeah saying that, my cousins grandmother couldn't either, also rural. Two good feet and a decent yard of pace on her though. Technical ability she's got everything like all dutch footballers.

I thought he was awful at their place. They played against ten men for 80 minutes and he spent more time on the floor than with the ball at his feet. The home tie I don't even remember him playing.

think I recalling him diving in the game at the Ricoh as well but can't remember him contributing anything else.

We're better than Danny fucking Rose. Barely league 2 quality.

On Bishop we can’t sign every local player who’s doing well. I’m guessing the club had a look and they decided he was lacking in some areas. Or just simply felt we could attract better

From the Widdrington interview today:

"It worked for Mark in League Two but Mark's vision of how he plays football - you see it at Coventry this season, he doesn't particularly play with a big No9 - it's all mobile and fluid.
And that's not detrimental to Jonno, it's Mark's vision of how he wants to play in League One."

Bishop is exactly what Robins doesn't want in L1: A big No9 that doesn't do much else except be in the box.

Biamou was signed in league 2, so probably did fit what he was looking for then. Bakayoko isn't that type of player either despite his height (I'm not quite sure what type he is!). The excerpt is about JCH, not Bishop but I'm assuming Bishop wasn't what they were looking for. He signed Godden instead who isn't anything like Bishop.

We should only go for players with religious connections - it's a bit like The Da Vinci Code trying to work out the perfect striker (no jokes about being good on crosses)

It's been about 5 weeks since we were told 3 to 4 months. Will be a little while still yet I guess.

Sometimes you know the type of player you want. But then the market muddys the waters and you take the best on offer.

Hes a bit slower than he was I hear.

His lads got 7 goals and an assist according to BBC. He's happy as he's with his mate Jorge Grant apparently.

Kelvin Wilson !!. What a mess that was. Mowbray hanging all his hats on that one, he went elsewhere and has played a whopping 8 games in 3 years

I'm out of the loop with Godden. Initially they were saying its going to be way after christmas before he's back and he could either have surgery and get it sorted long term or do some rehab and sort it short term. Im assuming they've gone with the latter?
