I don't think I've heard our style of play described better than this. He’s struggling now through being criminally overexposed.
This is the footballing version of Bazball.
"It's the way we play, mate"

"It's the way we play, mate"ook how
Bazball looked great at first and then gradually it failed.I don't think I've heard our style of play described better than this.

ArroganceDisappointing interview where instead of admitting hes got it wrong hes decided to be sarcastic to Gurney.
I'm officially worried
Its pathetic..unless you have the personell to be effective.Bazball looked great at first and then gradually it failed.
Im fed up of Asante running around like a headless chicken.
One of the goals started from his headless chicken impersonation trying to press and was flat out on the floor. They then proceed to score from that chance.
Yep, teams started to play on England's arrogance just like teams are now doing to us (although with us its more naivety than arrogance I think). I wish I'd come up with this analogy as it describes our approach perfectlyBazball looked great at first and then gradually it failed.
Trying to re invent the wheel.Bazball looked great at first and then gradually it failed.
Agree more naivety than arrogance . Need to adapt quickly.Yep, teams started to play on England's arrogance just like teams are now doing to us (although with us its more naivety than arrogance I think). I wish I'd come up with this analogy as it describes our approach perfectly
Id rather Jamie Allen if we are persisting with this mental gung hoI'd rather have Sheaf in that midfield than Torp in that shape away from home...
Thats a fair summary, but to be fair, under attack we should have 5 in midfield with the wingers covering. However, it seems once they lose the ball upfield they lose interest. This where more discipline is required. We play three midfield one of which plays almost as another centre half and the other one as a second striker. This is leaving one in the midfield and a huge gap between Torp and Our defence including Grimes which is being exploited every time we loose the ball and it was so evident last night with norwich running with the ball through our midfield unchallenged to the edge of our box.
Lampard needs to change these suicidal tactics and formation especially away from home because its not like we are even out scoring other teams now and we are conceding two goals every game
Lampard did it last season soon after the Portsmouth debacle and we went on a 9 out of 10 winning run of mostly 1-0s. Can he do it again? One things Robins was good at, a mid season tactical and formation switch to steady the ship....
Not sure that's true. Not for me anyway..Hang on a minute. Before we kicked off last night, 99% of you were saying that it was our strongest team, pleased Rudoni out, blah blah. Now it seems a different story because the result didn't go our way
He went super conservative after that..playing 5 at the back.Lampard did it last season soon after the Portsmouth debacle and we went on a 9 out of 10 winning run of mostly 1-0s. Can he do it again?
He has that option, but will be reluctant given he has just loaned in two wingers, albeit Esse can play centrallyHe went super conservative after that..playing 5 at the back.
And that is exactly our problem, we get forward to the opposition third, slow the game down, pass backwards to play the possession game, make a mistake and put pressure on ourselvesWe have been worked out the full backs are either to far up the pitch or to narrow and teams are getting down the outside and the wingers aren’t tracking back I said early in the window a left back was urgently required and that hasn’t changed.
The midfield is to far apart Grimes to deep and Torp needs to drop closer to him as we are getting over run.
we need to learn to play in their half we have gone back to the pissing around at the back.
Let's hope so. He's built an expensive squad of wingers and attacking players....so let's hope he can work a miracle and sort the chuckle brothers and their little sidekick out while he's at it.Lampard did it last season soon after the Portsmouth debacle and we went on a 9 out of 10 winning run of mostly 1-0s. We played shit with our supposed best team.So what are you saying big fella?
They had loads of chances, all game. They were far the better team. What chances then? Both of their best chances were their second half goals…
I didn't. I said play five at back.Hang on a minute. Before we kicked off last night, 99% of you were saying that it was our strongest team, pleased Rudoni out, blah blah. Now it seems a different story because the result didn't go our way
He can do it...just requires our forwards to sit in a bit more. Just small tweaks like he did vs Leicester after that first half.Let's hope so. He's built an expensive squad of wingers and attacking players....so let's hope he can work a miracle and sort the chuckle brothers and their little sidekick out while he's at it.
We literally had the better chances... A quick watch of the highlights show that. They had loads of chances, all game. They were far the better team.
