Im fed up of Asante running around like a headless chicken.

One of the goals started from his headless chicken impersonation trying to press and was flat out on the floor. They then proceed to score from that chance.

BTA press only works if the other attackers are pressing. and midfield cut out space. Our midfield is non excitant at time. So all the press does is create space for the opposition

We have been worked out the full backs are either to far up the pitch or to narrow and teams are getting down the outside and the wingers aren’t tracking back I said early in the window a left back was urgently required and that hasn’t changed.

The midfield is to far apart Grimes to deep and Torp needs to drop closer to him as we are getting over run.

we need to learn to play in their half we have gone back to the pissing around at the back.

Ignore the players - Lampard and Edwards are bigger concern, for continuing to set us up in same way, when its clearly not been working, especially away for a number of weeks.

Why not just sit full backs and play flat 3 away, be compact, I mean it's pretty basic stuff? We have so much firepower, we will score, we are quick on break, but yet we keep persisting with this mental shape that leaves us so open its a little embarrassing and the players being criticised and constantly facing 1v1 or 1v2 overloads through middle/wide we go on.

His interview was poor last night, I don't particularly like Gurney, but he was right to poke a little and I expect more from Frank, your better than that.

We play three midfield one of which plays almost as another centre half and the other one as a second striker. This is leaving one in the midfield and a huge gap between Torp and Our defence including Grimes which is being exploited every time we loose the ball and it was so evident last night with norwich running with the ball through our midfield unchallenged to the edge of our box.

Lampard needs to change these suicidal tactics and formation especially away from home because its not like we are even out scoring other teams now and we are conceding two goals every game

Thats a fair summary, but to be fair, under attack we should have 5 in midfield with the wingers covering. However, it seems once they lose the ball upfield they lose interest. This where more discipline is required.

Not sure that's true. Not for me anyway..

I was excited by the team, but then felt they didn't play the way I expected that team to play

And that is exactly our problem, we get forward to the opposition third, slow the game down, pass backwards to play the possession game, make a mistake and put pressure on ourselves

Norwich scored a similar goal at the weekend against WBA they fucked around with the ball at the back and pounced on poor passing

We rarely play through the middle, very one dimensional

don’t have a plan B, bring on subs that are like for like and don’t change the formation

the best form of defence is attack, and when we played attacking football last night the Norwich team looked panicky

time for Lampard to earn his wage, this is the real test now to see if he can pick this capable team up

get the ball in the box, and eventually you’ll score. Stop the tip tapping around th back we are useless at it.

Norwich squeezed us last night and it meant that we had no idea what to do. Their forwards pressed high up the field, and their defence was almost on the half way line when we had the ball on the edge of our own box. We have nobody to pass through the lines to, and when we went long because we had no options, it just kept coming back at us.

As multiple people have already said, it comes back to the system and a lack of plan B. I just hope the coaching staff can see it and work on it this week and we can put it behind us at QPR.

Let's hope so. He's built an expensive squad of wingers and attacking players....so let's hope he can work a miracle and sort the chuckle brothers and their little sidekick out while he's at it.

For me, it's just so hard to watch because anytime we give the ball away we look like conceding a chance. Can any football experts tell me the reason why? Surely it's not just about the 'attacking full backs'
No other team in the league looks this vulnerable on the turnover.

He can do it...just requires our forwards to sit in a bit more. Just small tweaks like he did vs Leicester after that first half.

The "hole" in midfiled has been obvious for some time now and opposition teams have worked this out. They are not always successful but if I can spot this then I am unsure why our management cannot. JDS' average position last night was in the opposition half and as a result Kitching's average position was almost that of a left back. This leaves even more space in the middle to exploit. Grimes spent more time on the left close to JDS and Torp was mainly on the right closer to Esse. No idea what BTA was instructed to do last night but I am sure making 3 successful passes out of 7 was not it. There is no accounting for individual errors as these can happen anywhere and anyone can have a bad game but these are not the real issues, it is the formation and how the players are instructed to play. Also missing big chances when the opposition don't doesn't help!

It's obvious that we need to tighten up at the back and look to gain more control in midfield.

With our current squad I think the options are (a) play a third CB (b) play Grimes a bit further forward as more of a ball-winning midfielder and/or (c) use our backs more as conventional full backs rather than wing backs, bearing in mind that we already have conventional wingers. I don't think (b) on its own works. Perhaps we have to try all three together, certainly away from home.

To gain one of the automatic spots, bearing in mind that we have lost a lot of our points advantage and Ipswich will probably soon have a better goal difference than us, we are going to have to be one of the top three or four teams for the rest of the season. Given that for the last two months our performances have been little better than the teams just outside the relegation zone this seems unlikely.

Unless things change for the better very quickly we will just have to accept that we have blown our chance.
