Our run of luck with bad injuries really is ridiculous.

Pretty disastrous for the club especially after the 750'000 expenditure. Not sure the funds will be there in January to bring in a replacement.

We’re cursed when it comes to injuries and officials

Am I right in thinking Robins has said 'He had this before'?

If that is the case, then after signing the likes of Biamou (previous ACL) and Jobello (2 ACLs)... you can't really constantly bemoan bad luck (Jones & Allen - yes moan about that)... that's why players have medicals before signing.

Be thankful its not an ACL the way our luck is with injuries.

Who are we going to be signing that has never had an injury?

There's a difference between 2 ACLs & a tight hamstring.

Anyways... let's hope for a full recovery on the 12, rather than the 16-wk, week scale.

What has Robins actually said as yesterday it was reported he'd said Godden was desperate to play today and hadn't been ruled out.

CWR caught him talking to another reporter after they'd interviewed him. If they take it lightly and avoid an op, 3 months. If he needs the op, likely 4 months. Still waiting to hear exactly what needs to be done.

Our Injury history is more than bad luck, we clearly aren’t doing enough due diligence on injury history as so many of these are recurring.

Perhaps the club knew there was a possibility these injuries may reoccur but took a chance to get a higher level of player than we would usually be able to

I'd heard it wasn't that serious
Maybe he's had a scan that has shown it's worse than initially thought

Godden had the original problem when he was 19. He's played over 40 games a season for the past 4 years, it is bad luck.

Who cares, we have the Biamou/Baka deadly partnership now!

If we're sticking with two up front we still have Hiwula of course, but could do with a loan in January.

Who's currently on the injury list?
Godden
Allen
Jones
Allassani
Jobello
Is Hiwula injured or just dropped today?
Any more?

Hiwula was injured but it looks like a knock so short term
Jones is very near to return but will be carefully managed for obvious reasons

Not surprised. It would be crazy to think CWR would have asked such a basic question like “can we have an update on the injured players ?”

Can only loan players during summer/Jan transfer windows now

Not sure a striker is necessarily needed, 4 available currently to play within a 2 in Max, Baka, Hiwula and Kastaneer. Not sure the budget will stretch to bring in anything better than that, so what’s the point?

Hopefully him and max can have a good partnership!! Him Allen and Jones will probably all come back around the same time which will be a massive boost...

Suddenly things look alot more positive

This news is a potential bonus. We could have Godden & Max playing together before Xmas.

I don't know if Godden will work alongside Max, he doesn't play off a target man as he acts more like one. That said, Biamou has shown himself to be pretty decent playing off Bakayoko in the last few games.

Getting hard to fit all the players into a formation. I’d agree we want Max and Godden as a pair, Allen, Kelly and O’Hare should all play really, ideally Jones comes back the same and is one of our better players. Don’t want to shove O’Hare out wide. Is 42112 a formation?

Marosi
Dabo Hyam Rose Mason
Kelly Allen
———————Jones
O’Hare
Biamou Godden

??

Do you push O’Hare wide anyway? Play Godden wide in a 3 with Jones and Biamou?

Good problems to have though. Roll on January and a fit squad.
