The coach story was great, as was the spat smiles had with a poster who insulted a picture of his daughter (not knowing it was his daughter)

can’t recall who the poster was

Didn't one of the admins have an argument with a City player at an away game?

I remember Knowl loudly admonishing Carl Baker for his poor performance at one of the Northampton home games.... which could obviously be heard by all and sundry due to the low numbers....

30 seconds later he scored an overhead kick (and came over for a quick word with him!)

There was also a poster who had a name like AbdulAli who would pretend to be a phoney Arab type and always use phrases like ' may a thousand pardons be upon you" Very strange but amusing.

I'm 99% certain it was GMK

However if I am mistaken and it was on this forum, I hope someone can dig it out and BUMP!
It must probably was gmk thinking about it because I didn't post on here regularly until well after that happened (was it Yeovil away the first season in L1?)

Too long over a burger or chicken meal weren't it, I was on that if it was run by Garyccf forever?

i thought it was something to do with him wanting to go into hobbycraft before the coach left

the fallout from that lasted for days

Wasn't Otis was one of the first GMK mainstays to come over to SBT? Not connected but another poster I remember was Japandy who unwisely decided to bring his Christian faith into a discussion, which thereafter was used as a stick to beat him with. The discussions were often not for the faint hearted with the piss taking absolutely brutal at times. Different times I guess but SBT is much gentler and fairly tame by comparison.
Yeah, I was entrenched there for years. Under Neville's stewardship, then Smiles, then Knowl.

GMK was like WWF wrestling with attitude. Many different characters, both goodies and baddies and very tongue in cheek. I think the ones who took it seriously made it more amusing for everyone else .
