Rob87 was the guy who lived in Ireland. Argumentative fucker.
Rob87 had quite a spat with Nev over the fund that was set up after Mike McGinnity threatened legal action after being described as 'rogues' on GMK. I tried to get them together over a pint or two but Nev refused. IMO, Rob was well out of order as he was insinuating that the unused fund was going to be trousered by Nev. It was given to charity...

I know Nev pretty well, although I haven't seen him for years. One of the good guys.

If I met a genie 2 of my wishes would be:

1. Bring back GMK
2. Bring back rivals.net

They were the days....

Bring back the days of arranging a protest at HR for the Plymouth game and being messaged on FB by Jojar Dhinsa lol.

It’s always been my dream to be the poster GMK ADMIN to be fair.

I was a admin on gmk for 1 day along with harrogateskyblue, didn’t end well. The rest of them got wind that smiler was out of town and totally flames it, it was an out of control asylum that could not be contained.

GMK wasn’t pro-SISU ffs.. we just acknowledged way before a lot of other people that our demise involved more than just ownership.

And we were fuckinright

It was a completely different beast under Neville and Smiles, but the half a dozen or so regular posters left at the end of GMK were very pro SISU. They all were going to Northampton and nailed their colours to the SISU mast. Without wanting to re-engage arguments from all our yesterdays, and while you are of course right that the Council (and later Wasps) played there part in our demise, that's still a big jump to say they were right to support SISU. If more of our supporters had followed that GMK clique and packed out Northampton, our club would in all likelihood have died so you weren't fuckinright.

I was a regular on GMK, when a previous employer had a very lax attitude towards internet use.
A personal highlight was Rob 87 once claiming I had the best musical taste on the site, because I extolled the virtues of the first LCD Soundsystem album.
The Dhinsa thing was hilarious.

Not all GMKers went to Northampton and those that did weren’t ’nailing their colours’ anywhere.. they went to support our team.
NOPM was flawed and it wasn’t because of people that went to Northampton.

I’ll never forget a GMK away day in Burnley—the stuff of myth and legend. And once got a massive Bristolian to stand in for a photo with us instead of Rob87 to scare off everyone he’d antagonised.

😁 I thought that was a Cardiff fan, with the scarf?

Burnley was the peak I’d say, after being ejected I saw them score from four different stands, got warned to ‘get out of Burnley’ and someone jumped onto the train tracks to retrieve a burger then ate it. Never been so pissed in my life.

gmk was also 24/7, you’d log in in the morning and see multiple screens of madness, never quite sure how many of them were the sadly missed badger & how many were real.

Who was the guy went nuts as he missed the coach back from Preston as he went into Hobbycraft?
