Or maybe you actually don’t know the difference and just instinctively think one is worse than the other? Would explain why you’re being so coy.

Yes, I clearly don't know the difference in the 2 examples

Wonder how many people actually watched Vylans set. I would expect iPlayer wasn’t exactly creaking at the seams trying to cope with the number of viewers.

At some point people might learn not to rush to social media and these things would pass by with hardly anyone noticing.

Also, what did he actually say? The only clip I can find he says ‘death to the IDF’ which while a stupid thing to say is referring to an organisation.

On social media those that are outraged are saying he explicitly called for people to murder IDF soldiers which strikes me as a very different thing, especially when calling for legal action.

Unfortunately it appears you’re holding an opinion that you have no ability to explain. Must be quite relaxing, at least.

It's not an opinion that there's a difference between the 2.

For some reason you're trying to act dumb.

This is honestly like arguing with a bag of frozen mince.

If anyone else can explain why it’s worse for someone to say something on stage than it is to say it on Twitter, please help me out!

They should book Alice Cooper, people online would lose their minds when he brings the guillotine out

Idles non political?
I've got some bad news for you.

IDLES 'F*** the King' chant at Glastonbury sparks BBC controversy

The Bristol based band led the crowd in the chant, called Nigel Farage a 'facscis' and launched an inflatable dinghy, representing migrants and created by Banksy, over the crowd

It's actual in the recorded track on the album.

"Fuck the king, he ain't the king, she's the king."

Saw them in Birmingham earlier this year, one of the best gigs I've ever been to. They were brilliant.

I think I’m right in thinking that both Idles and Sleaford Mods made statements refusing to support Palestine…at least this is what my mate told me.

Don't know about Sleaford Mods, but idles have been supporting Palestine (not Hamas) and are raising money for aid for them.

Osees all the way! Awesome live. Amazing energy. Saw them in Edinburgh week last Thursday, been into them for over a decade now, loads of great live performances on YouTube too, for those wanting to try them out, particularly with the two drummer setup. Only a one hour set at Glastonbury, but anyone wanting a punk/metal/prog/psychedelia mash up with inspired lunacy, they're your band!

I don’t see how death to the IDF is referring to an organisation. It’s clearly meaning kill the people in the defence force.

The Muslim council of the uk is an organisation- I think if someone said death to said organisation you wouldn’t be as dismissive.

I’m not sure writing as the Agony Aunt for the Basildon classifies as journalism to be fair.

Eh? neither of these is exactly the Monkees. Sleaford Mods even called out IDLES for doing politics and music when they didn't have the working class cred. to be allowed to do it.

I enjoyed Franz set. Caught Fatdogs set by accident and quite enjoyed that despite not knowing anything about them beforehand. Looked like a good one to be at.
Shame Anthony Szmiereks set won't be filmed as it's on one of the smaller stages.

I need to do watch Franz back too. There's been some good stuff. I love Neil Young but I was a bit disappointed with the set last night, turned over and Charli XCX appeared to be miming.

Todays arguable the best day overall.

Very ironic given your so called humorous japes seem to only attract the imbecile PVA

Let’s be honest if your journalist “career” has as many people interested in you as there are on here then the Basildon is probably hyperbole

Took the Mrs to see Simply Red in 2023 as she ended up down a Simply Red rabbit hole on Spotify. It was actually very good.
