That's pretty much what I've always thought that a good manager does! Even a decent manager can organise and motivate to a certain extent. I think Pressley came in with the shouty approach, it worked for a bit as the players did need a kick up the arse and he had some quality players still, but that can only get a response and paper over tactical failings for so long.
Look at Robins at Scunthorpe too.
It is all well and good people going on about investment etc but surely the best managers get the best out of the team they have with the best system to suit the players?
Exactly. Rowett at Birmingham, Robins wherever he has gone, Pardew at Palace, Eddie Howe at Bournemouth. It's all about picking the right manager who has been there and done it. All Pressley is is a nodding dog who doesn't have the bollocks to say anything to Scrotium. He knows he will struggle to get such an opportunity elsewhere. The mistakes he has made this season are amateurish and unforgivable. The players must be laughing their tits off at him behind his back.

That's the kind of approach that gets clubs like us into this state in in the first place imo. It's like Old (& some would argue New) Labour...throw enough money at it & make enough changes to it & eventually you'll find the winning formula...but go bust in the process.It's the pitch that matters.
