I saw that, thought it was some sort of in-joke. Nope. They really are in a line, passing the ballot boxes, to be the first to have the votes counted. Sad wankers.

Going to be argued about for years. If he had committed to Brexit would Labour have held these northern and Midlands constituencies that seem to have cost them the election?

If polls correct within 5 years I see Scotland leaving the union and Northern Ireland well on their way.

Surprised at the margin of victory to be honest. Know it's only an exit poll but won't be that far out.

Fear it's going to be a very difficult few years for a lot of people. Anyone who thinks Johnson is going to stand up to the EU, Trump, Putin etc must be mad, he ran and hid in a fridge to avoid answering questions so there's no chance of him standing up to anyone else.

Think you're doing the right thing. Got a couple of mates who've made the move and they've said their quality of life has improved dramatically. Would have done it myself if I didn't need to stick around to care for my parents.

The Labour clear-out that this will surely bring is vital. Corbyn and a few choice individuals seemed to undermine the party particularly in a time when politics is so personality-led, and how the fuck is anti-semitism even still a thing?

...or if they had gone for a leader more to the centre and got behind remain, could they have picked up the small c conservative voters? The referendum wasn't a landslide and was very close.

I wouldn't put any money on that myself. I suspect there is a very quite majority who would come out and vote boosting the turnout & voting to remain in the Union.

Staggering that Johnson can fight such a pathetic campaign yet utterly wipe the floor with the opposition.
Johnson is a bumbling fool but this result tells you everything you need to know about Corbyn & Swinson.

If Sturgeon gets her 2nd referendum they will go. Very happy to wager on that.

But it seems the strong remain Labour seats have been lost.
Argument will be this seemingly large turnout (seen it put in the high 70s) is an endorsement of the referendum result.

That's the most tragic part about all of this, he couldn't even face Andrew Neil, how is he going to be stick up for the country when ti comes to the EU, Trump, Putin etc? It really is very worrying times.

They won’t leave the union. They can’t afford it. They should have gone when North Sea oil was booming and invested the money wisely on infrastructure for the future. That ship has sailed.

The Sunderland result is especially interesting this time as it's both strongly Leave and strongly Labour.

Swinson must be wringing her hands tonight in the realisation that by playing Mr Johnson’s tune in calling for an election she has seen her seat lost (probably), her party making no gains (real possibility) and a break up of the Union.
And she bought she would be PM...delusional
