Stats mean nothing, all about chances. Both were dominant first half. We got lucky, same as first half today. We are getting completely overrun. Amazed people can't see it.

Not in that context. If we get caught on the break and he gets done for pace, or makes a mistake under pressure, or even a progressive pass that goes astray, that’s fair enough and those errors happen.
He’s just miscontrolled the ball under no pressure and Norwich react quickly, it’s unforgivable.

We had a higher xG in both halves so whatever chances you think they should’ve scored, we literally had better chances.
That’s not even including EMC missing from a yard out and Haji having one cleared off the line.

Ok, I'm not saying the system directly resulted directly in an unforced error, in the sense that it put him in that position. It didn't.
What I'm saying is that if a system that leaves a player exposed is going to affect their confidence, put them on edge, and so make them more susceptible to making unforced errors. It's making our defenders nervous.

Your back 3 idea seems to not take into any account our current in possession shape has a back 3, the issue is the cover and space left in front of them.
We can play 4 CBs and they still struggle if we keep giving away so much space in the midfield.

Oh and we also played a back 3 against Charlton and were not great.
Apart from you still not solving the space in the midfield issue you also haven't taken into account the issue that good teams will push their full backs ultra high creating overloads on each flank as their isn't a natural wide attacker to track back. This then means central players get pulled out wide to help leaving gaps that can be exploited.
An example of this is home against Leeds last year.

I do think in Da Silva’s defence that he’s been left badly exposed to multiple 1 v 1s by EMC/Wright or whoever has played on the left wing. This has been compounded by a lack of pace/legs in centre midfield to get over and help out….coupled with two centre halves who are slow to read the game and lack the pace to make recovery/covering runs to help.
If we had more pace/better reading of the game in centre mid and centre back, maybe we could get away with it but JDS looks frequently exposed.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that when he's been in charge at other clubs once they have gone on a poor run it's usually been unable to turn it around. Hope I'm wrong ,but we've not been much good for about 2 months. Rushworths either sav d us and we've relied on home form . Charlton , Watford , WBA, Millwall sliced through our midfield and defence but luckily missed their chances

There's a lot more to it than blaming the manager. Players need to take some responsibility and start doing basic things right. The amount of possession we turned over without being under pressure because they either tried too much in the wrong area or couldn't play a simple pass was ridiculous.
Away from home set up with a back 5 4 in midfield and make us hard to break down at home play the way the way he likes us to play.When you make changes change the formation to help us have a chance ,changing personal and expecting us to score isn't working last night we should of went kept hadji on with simms.

The complaints about the midfield are valid even if it was ultimately 2 errors that cost us. Teams have been over running us for weeks away from home.
As for Torp, he was dreadful in possession in the first half. Yes he won a few balls high up the pitch but proceeded to lose possession again almost straight away.

The 2 loan signings were and no matter what people will say remain to be the most important signings. Cover on the wings was needed most of all. The issues with the midfield and how we defend against transitions can if needed be solved tactically.

It is valid, but more people are talking about that than the 3 mistakes/errors that actually cost us the game.
EMC has to score that chance at 1-1, it’s a header from a few yards out, Eccles header at 2-1 down was also not good enough. Haji’s chance was the hardest of the lot but he should’ve scored it. In defence, both of their goals were gifts, particularly Kitching’s error for the 2nd.
At 1-1, for the 10-15m after their equaliser, the game should’ve been won for us. Conceding a goal when we did cost us and that’s the frustrating part.
Someone said we should’ve been 3-0 down before we scored, having watched the highlights, Norwich hit the post and that was it in that first half.

Its no conincidence Grimes has looked average for 2 months.
In sayijg that this system looks better with Rudoni as a 10....as he will get significantly more of the ball and helps defensiveky significantly more than a car crash of a formation with Asante in no 10.

Why? As it looks like we are close to signing the guy from Brentford (if Nigerian reports are true) then we are signing a very different type of midfielder to what we have now, a defensive midfield that would if playing last night have helped plug the gaps in our midfield.
