This is going to fall through and it'll be we didn't have enough time to replace Andrews. Talks have slowed meaning Doug is playing hardball and Birmingham City or Sheffield United will just go bam there you go £8m whatever it is £35,000-£40,000 a week wages. The signing of Onyeka will be the difference IMO or someone of a similar level. If we don't get cover centrally and ideally defensively we're fucked. I don't get the fucking obsession buying and loaning just attacking players when the problem is clearly a defensive issue.
Zero evidence of this whatsoever.

37 pages. Does anyone know for sure that we're even actually speaking with him? I'm not saying we're not, I have no idea, but it seems half are in the camp we're 100% not signing him or anyone else and the rest believe talks are ongoing.

Would love us to just drop another quality CM that nobody has even mentioned and simply announce the signing.

3 points tomorrow and it will all look a lot better.

He's going somewhere in the window.

My other half is black. I remember all the shite you have come out with.

Careful calling out racists on here is more likely to get you banned than them.

Sheffield United are not going to pay £8m for anyone any time soon

There is no evidence of this. There are so many rumours flying around from so called people in the know. Another team could be interested in him who are Premier League / top tier European League, he might get sucked into the Hollywood show at Birmingham, we might be looking at someone else, talks might not have slowed at all, Onyeka might be waiting till deadline day to weigh up his options, etc. Could be absolutely anything.

What does talks slowed even mean?

I read somewhere that City and Brentford haven't had any talks for a couple of days or so. They are supposed to be close on the terms of a deal but not quite there yet.

As most of us suspect, I guess discussions are taking place with other clubs for Brentford and/or the player to get better terms. If it happens, it will probably be in the last 24 hours of the window.

I'm resigned to it not happening but will be pleased if it does. I just hope we have other irons in the fire.

If we don't get him or have anyone else lined up do you think DK may receive a bit of flak 😂

Nah I reckon he'll be alright considering we dont actually need to sign any players since we bought the ground. The extra players are just a side show to the main attraction of the season in buying it.

Where did you read that?

And why do people keep mentioning Andrews?
He hasn't been in the squad since the two loanees arrived.
He needs minutes so him going out on loan was best for the lad in my opinion.
I don't see any correlation between him going and this transfer saga.
Indeed, he's not played all season with our existing midfield options, even where we've had players out or fatigued

What do you think our own fans would say should lets say wright sign for somebody and they asked if he was any good ?

Say no more.
Well yes, and if some Cov fan insisted that he was shit and his new team’s fans all responded with “wow he sounds great” then I would also find it funny!

Anyway, if you’re having to explain the joke you’re usually losing etc etc

Theres so many nitty gritty things with a deal like this. Promotion clauses, relegation clauses, appearance clauses, loan with option to buy, loan with obligation to buy. Its not just heres the cash and lets go. Our league position complicates matters slightly so not suprised if they have a few things to iron out

If we end the window with 3 wingers and that’s it it’s been a poor window and will cost us promotion.

I'd agree about three wingers but for the fact that Esse can also play as a 10, which is handy while Rudoni isn't at his best.

We do need a ball-winning tough-tackling midfielder though. I'm still hoping Onyeka will be that man.
