They knew Sheaf’s fitness record when they signed him. In fact, in his only CCFC appearance he came off injured minutes after coming on. You couldn’t make it up.I think the one think they will baulk at is signing players with all the strength of half a pint of double diamond.
Sakamoto had a contract extension back in the autumn as far as I remember.
Another since this one in April last year? I can’t find anything online
We paid 4m for both. We had competition fo both. Both are top end championship defenders. No one is paying a minimum of £5m for either Wolfenden or Kitching. That's frankly an absurd take.
Think he signed a new deal a couple of months ago but the length of the deal was not declared??? Could be wrong !Probably my mistake. He got two years, but that was a year ago, so just one year left then.
If we only sign 2 or 3 players we’d be candidates to beat Derby’s low points record. No idea what Lampard wants in terms of numbers & names....but I would think we would be spending "big", up to 20million , on only 2 or 3 players & that will be our lot.
We ain't buying 10 players, not a chance.
Then we stay up by the skin of our teeth.

From the information I heard, there was a bit of a cock up.Definitely, Blues would probably pay 20 million for him given some of the sums they've splashed on dogshit strikers
I think your underrated the transfer inflation going on in the championship. The average signings are costing around 3.5-5m. Teams like Stoke and Watford would definitely go for someone like Woolfenden as would Derby and Cardiff. Hull, Preston and Bristol fit into that category aswellAnd? Leicester paid £23m for Daka does that translate to what clubs would pay for him - no.
In reality Wolfenden had one good season in the Championship for Ipswich and then played a bit part role in the PL. This season he's been on the whole pretty poor.
So it's difficult to assess his actual quality at this level. I suspect it's probably somewhere in between the two. Either way I don't see clubs queuing for his signature in the summer if that's the fee we'd demand and we'd have to take a fairly sizeable loss on him if we wanted to move him on.
Kitching is albeit a different scenario as he's fairly decent at this level - vastly overrated by some - but nonetheless decent. I think we'd probably get what we paid for him there or there abouts.

Even looking at our sales - we made money on Binks. Wolfenden is a better playerExactly this. We’ve signed 3 reserves this season and the cheapest was £3.5m

I think we’re likely to keep him.MvE will remain our first choice right back. You’re not gonna get a better back upDo people reckon we’d keep KKH around or sell/loan him out?
We’ve just seen so little of him this season it’s hard to judge.I think we’re likely to keep him.MvE will remain our first choice right back. You’re not gonna get a better back up
KKH was likely intended to be a first choice RB with MVE seemingly close to moving on.
Woolfenden was a panic signing as we put all our eggs in one basket with Hughes but we desperately needed depth.
Markelo i strongly suspect the upfront fee is nowhere near the reported total package.
The wage bill is surely going to explode regardless. I'm no financial expert, but I imagine that's at least as significant as the outlay in transfer fees.If be surprised if we spent that much and it would significantly increase the wage bill.
Centre backs needed surelyI think we will keep most of the squad. Rushworth will go back, Esse and Mini will go back, Bidwell, Brau, Allen, Simms, Bassette, Raphael and Wolfenden will be released or sold. We will bring in a keeper likely Rushworth or Trafford, a left back - Chilwell, a midfielder - Barkley, a couple of wingers - Azeez and Fatawu would be a good shout, and maybe a striker
Great bit of business. they’ll be premier league players in the summer, worth a lot more than what we brought them forExactly this. We’ve signed 3 reserves this season and the cheapest was £3.5m

Yes but who? Hughes?Centre backs needed surely
Yes but who? Hughes?
Circa JH Goes off to fulfill a media career. We will be spending a lot of money, but transfer fees are normally paid in instalments these days. We would have the money coming in over the next 3 years minimum to pay for it.
I don't see a problem with giving Lampard £100m to build a squad. On top of this there's any money coming in from players sold, but can't see this being very much as we will need to keep our best players.
I can see King taking a calculated risk. I can also see Lampard leaving if he isn't going to get sufficient funds to have a chance of staying up.
I think that ship has sailed - we’d probably be looking to sign someone with a decent amount of PL experience to partner Thomas.Yes but who? Hughes?
Don't Japanese players have fewer miles on the clock as they start out later for some reason?I thought the same, but maybe was thinking of the deal last April.
Pretty!
Don't give them motivation. If we only sign 2 or 3 players we’d be candidates to beat Derby’s low points record.
