This video was class, and there definitely is issues with owners in the game. Sheffield Weds, Hull, Leicester 3 in the Championship alone this season
West Brom, Cardiff (carrying on still now) and Sheffield United last season as well. There needs to be something done

We have a neo liberal market economy or casino capitalism , so football is not going to be any different.

I feel a degree of sympathy for the lad running Leicester - He inherited the business way ahead of schedule through losing his father in tragic circumstances, when my dad owned his business if he would have passed away unexpectedly and all of a sudden I was running it I would have no clue what to do either

I don't think he has purposely ran the club badly, I think he has been well intentioned but chased the dream of consistent UCL football which they fucked up two seasons in a row having wildly overspent to get it

In reflection he should have presided over his families legacy being fully cemented after they won the FA Cup and sold it on

TBF, he could have just employed someone who was an expert in their field to run the club. Or sold it. His biggest problem is that the family business has massive cash flow problems anyway, isn't it?

That doesn't help but you've got to remember there was a point not so long ago Leicester saw themselves as a club who had disrupted the Top 6, there is an element of them 'Doing a Leeds' where they spent lots of money gambling on UCL football which they fumbled on the final day (twice) so they had to start tightening the purse strings

Their recruitment has been abysmal, eye-watering amount of money spent on players like Daka, Faes, Vestergaard etc. who I would say wouldn't even get into our side

Uefa Champions League

Leicester were 4th going into the final day in 2019/20 and 2020/21 and were leapfrogged on the final day both times
no matter how bad my day is......Just reading that makes me happy

Since when did Leeds UTD become known as the peacocks.
What a sad state our football clubs are becoming!
It is their original nickname & is because of a pub close to Elland Road called The Old Peacock. I remember the nickname being used at the 1970 cup final

We hate Forest, we hate Derby, who the fcuk are Coventry?

Yep and Man City cheated their way to the top four on both occasions depriving us of fourth.
Take it you are north Leics then - When we recently beat you at the CBS (convincingly) I went on my Sky Blue scooter which has a Cov number plate. The amount of shit I got from the streets of Leicestershire kept me amused for weeks. We have a lot of Cov who hate the Villa..I've never got my head around that. Imagine hating a club that plays in the league above you and has won a European Cup.....
