I do a bit of squid fishing here in Mallorca from November until the end of February. It's good fun but as soon as I've caught enough for dinner or a paella (normally one or two) then I'll stop. I try to despatch them humanely because it really pisses me off to see others unhook them and then just leave them to asphyxiate.
I used to go fishing nearly every weekend. Tunnel Barn Farm, Shrewley. Fabulous pools.
Then when we moved to the Isle of Wight, I took up sea fishing. Different ball game altogether, but brilliant! I had to buy another small freezer to keep all the fish I'd caught! Bass, mackerel, pollack, rays, dogfish, etc. I used to sell my unwanted bass to a local restaurant. A few fish I caught......
