Whatever way you look at it, to sell near enough 13,000 tickets for two away games in the FA Cup, not even against a big side, is outstanding.

And that in two days.

Add the hundreds in the home ends also.

Nor do many of them when people are like that. Same as the guy who bangs on about NOPM and not giving the club a penny begging for Brighton tickets as he did MK ones.

Maybe that is why he only has 53 followers?

I think he’s saying that because he is disabled he should still get priority even if he can’t get to the ticket office in time.....

Not sure where being such a tool will get him? He is now banging on about the club being cowards. The club have more patience than me, when I get customers like that giving it loads they don't get any sympathy and it puts them to the back of the queue to other people when it comes to favours and help.

There will be a quota on disabled seating for wheelchairs etc, if other people who are disabled buy that quota up first I'm not too sure what's expected.

I couldn't get one for FGR, I forgot to get in early and order some. That's life.

I don't think they all did. My pal managed to get some but said they were running out. Approx 200 in the sue and not enough to go around.

Unlikely. That's how it goes though. Learn to use the internet, my 86 year old grandad can do it. Plus as I've said before, it's shit that people with disabled tickets have to be there in person, but it's worse that divs who can't use the internet force them to queue even longer.
Normally we don't have to que longer, we get priority (que jump) because like you say, unlike the "divs" we can only buy at the ticket office. This morning however, they were filtering 4 people from the disabled que, then 4 divs and so on. Managed to get ours eventually but would of been a bit peeved if a div had managed to get tickets before me and they ran out!

People need to get their heads together and one person should go to Brighton Ticket office (make sure you got a pukka address in Brighton when they ask) then that person could buy 6 tickets there and then. Do it the week before the game

I think the gripes are from fans who get the wrong or incorrect information. Not sure if the system is at fault.

I went online around 0925ish....could not log in , just for a log into the site put me in a queue. fine. I tried for the next 1.5hrs/2 hours to keep on trying to get those 2 tickets into my basket. would not let me.

The frustrating part is whilst I was having no luck getting these items into my basket (Whilst at work) I tried calling to buy them over the phone. After a 10 minute wait in a queue on the phone at 7ppm.
The guy tells me they have sold out!?
then I politely said why don't you state online they are sold out instead of wasting hundreds/thousands persons time online all morning, and all those on the phone like me trying to get through.

Obviously they make a vast amount with hundreds of persons on the fone in queue at 7ppm. that's minor.

My time is much more valuable as is everyone elses. Just a bit of communication like:

Please do not call the 08444539134 ticket number hotline as all tickets are sold out. Club doesn't tweet until 11am ish that all tickets have sold out.

Why was I told along with hundreds of others from about 0930am ish all tickets are sold out? this isn't the first time its happened. yes that's life no big deal. but its the lack of communication/incorrect communication which is baffling.
the same thing happened to me when I managed to get one of 350 tickets for Exeter. was told online eand the phone they sold out. but I purchased one online 30 mins later!

Il be in the home end anyway now. I have a london postcode so it shouldn't be an issue to register on their site and get some tickets.

I know it's pretty hard to judged before we can look to buy on Brighton site tomorrow but where are people looking to buy in the home end? Would be good to get close together if possible.

I don't know how the people doing the social media don't lose the plot. All day yesterday it was complaints that season ticket holders could only have two. Today its complaints it sold out!

I think the club has to look at a more polished way of measuring loyalty and consider a points scoring system for ticket distribution etc.

This would take some time to build fan profiles/scores etc but it would go some way to appeasing the moaners, the hard done by etc.....it surely has to be worth considering.

As we have sold our allocation, Brighton are now only selling to people on their database.

Who's going to pay for a system to be made and developed for a few games a season?

Why not just buy season tickets on the off chance we get a few big games?

No need for any other way than season ticket holders then members. If needed they could drop ST holders to only 1 ticket for games like this, once they've done that if people are still missing out maybe think of something then but no issues as it stands.

Just an idea guys, a points scoring system has been used by plenty of clubs over time and takes into consideration those that travel away regularly etc, I think there’s something in it especially when you look past Season ticket holders.....i.e you can be a member and pay the fee but not necessarily go to a game until something big comes along? Some people aren’t interested in membership but might go to every away game but then don’t have a big stake when it comes to ticket distribution....

I dunno, just thinking out the box...it’s obviously worked for some clubs.

How many lower league clubs do point scoring though?

Away games get the club no income so they are always going to reward people who invest at the start or pay for memberships. If people want to go to every away game then get a membership to get priority.

It's that simple.

I think Brighton might do it - I've seen on their website something about points allocated to each game (we're 10 points!)

Suppose we're in a funny situation with not many season ticket holders but lots of away game go-ers - who gets priority of those? someone traveling the country to go to all awaygames or someone who prepays with a season ticket (hypothetical question obv!)

The club will continue to use the scheme for the 2017/18 season, but importantly, will introduce two separate loyalty tiers and types of points: one for season-ticket holders and one for members.

Essentially, season-ticket holders' points will be more valuable than those awarded to members - and the season-ticket tier will receive first priority on high-demand away matches.

Most clubs will make it more biased to home games, thats where the money is.
