Yes they did know but as the councils preferred bidder probably though they could renegotiate at a later point. As you said 5 mins to go so no time to arrange it with the council first. Regardless are you saying that it was a fair and good deal for the club and they should have stayed with it or do you agree that it had to change to ensure the clubs future? How it was done is not up for debate, we all agree it was wrong BUT if the council were playing hard ball was that the last option. If other options available PLEASE EMLIGHTEN ME.

the councils refusal to deal with anyone else, so yes the council did help create this problem and were in bed with Wasps long before the rent strike. History shows it, they played their European games here are you really telling me that was not a taste of the water?

Not to mention the now wasps owner talking about moving here before he even bought them.

Would he have bought them if the Ricoh wasn't lined up?

And would have still needed a ground to play in, as we know it was 1.2 million for 26 days at the ricoh or do you think if we went bust then we would have found a new ground in Cov to play in?

The best position regarding the Ricoh is getting 50% of it. But I assume wasps would want us to take on 50% of the bond aswell

Would not have thought so. This was a long game played by the council, thought they could have both teams their and charge shit loads rent to bail them out. SISU then said no way are we paying that
(and we all know what happened so i aint typing all that again) so the council said fyou and sold it cheap to the insects. Can anyone really say that the council have not helped to try and destroy the football club, if you can then please tell me your reasons.

Watch them hopefully go bust it is then. Or maybe Al-Hasawi is cuckoo enough to cough up the beans. Worth a punt then?

We all know the various issues (the club, the ground, Wasps, etc) are complexly linked, and all parties have a hand in all the issues...

But if SISU (quite rightly) have to carry the can for our troubles, as owners...

Then the council, as owners of the Ricoh, carry the can for selling to Wasps...

My memory of that time in 2007 it was administration not liquidation many teams including us have come out of this There was not a gun held to their head. They f----- up people who should have known better. You also say getting" 50 % share" had the chance in 2013 funny enough we were in administration then offer made by Otium could have got it cheap but what they did was put strings to it and Alan Higgs Charity said "no way" and who could blame them the offer from Wasps was unbridled. While in this admin their were 3 other bid on the table and APPELTON chose the 1 put in by the people who appointed him to a very lucrative postion.

Sorry mate but that's wrong ,you can't rewite history to make your point ,the council chose Sisu because they were the ones saying they would take on the he debt and pay the creditor's if had gone to admin they would have lost control to the administrator

Pretty sure a councillor isn’t losing any sleep over ccfc when doing a big shop.

No clue how many of them supported or cared about ccfc, but there hasn’t been a political change in the city due to it, so they must think the local population care as much as they do.

Not defending them in the slightest and if I lived in cov my number 1 question this election would be what each party is doing to get ccfc home, as the rest of the polices don’t effect me anywhere near as much as that does.

Everyone has allowed it to happen and to continue happening.

All been said in other threads though

There were no other bidders willing to take on the 1.2 million rent. The others all made comments about being unable to work with the council - see The Manhattan Group

we didn’t have the chance in 2013..the council had a veto on it, which they already said would exercise

And finally - the admin process - Appleton has a duty to get the biggest amount back for the creditors... the biggest being SISU - so really had no choice to pick them

It's one of the reasons I signed. I got tired of browsing this forum and seeing the same old lines trotted out. You could have a thread on here slagging off wasps with about a hundred replies but if someone chucked a 'yeah but Sisu's actions helped to bring them here' line the usual suspects would be on it like a rash. It's so obvious its laughable.

To be fair the guy started with it when his facts were questioned- using phrases like Spastic.... I mean nobody is against different opinions. But you can’t dismiss others when they have facts to back it up

NO!! as even thought others were interested the council had a veto and also what makes you think that they would have reduced the rent for NEWCO CCFC. All of this is due to the council charging so much rent to the football club. If it had been a fair rent from day one do you think SISU would have done what they did?

Try reading the thread.

Again, like your new hero. Facts and thinking aren't really your thing.

Yet again, you act a dick and then try to play a victim when somebody corrects you or points out the irony in what you say.

Stand to be corrected , but the 1.2M rent was to cover the ACL bank loan, if ccfc had gone into Admin so would ACL, the rest is unknown so can not be argued either way as it didn't happen., My only point is that both the council and SISU try to make out there actions are because of what the other party did , I don't believe that , they both knew what they were doing ,Its just sad that people are still arguing for one side or the other, when they are both as bad as each other

I didn't know it's been proved nonsence love to read it was not quoting pwkh although I have heard his name but they didn't see eye to eye when they were trying to negotiate a deal.Is the rest fact?

What annoys me is why didn’t the ccc try and get the best price possible for the taxpayers, say we are going to sell the stadium to wasps for £5mill + debts, sisu do you want to better that offer? start a bidding war, we were never offered it at that good of deal

The council would have just propped up ACL like they did anyway.

Are you also forgetting the initial collusion to bankrupt ACL between the council and SISU?

A quote from from Joy in distant times "I don't posture.I aways tell people what it is i need .I don't go for wasting time in negotiations" I think this sums up the reason why we are where we are now.
