If next weekend is anything similar to this one then McLaren are surely going to have to throw their weight behind one driver else they run a real risk of Max sneaking in and pinching the title and if he does, it will surely be the greatest comeback in the history of the sport.

Trouble is, who do they pick? Piastri seems to have lost his head at the moment. And Lando, with the greatest respect, always has a mistake in him.

The big mistake they've made was shutting down car development as early as they did to focus on next year. The other top teams all pushed one more upgrade and they're all in the ball park now.

Even as a lifelong McLaren fan it would be pretty funny if Max won.

All Lando has to do is not drive into the back of Max tomorrow and he should do fairly well in terms of the championship…
I think I've changed my mind, I actually think it would be funnier if Lando won the title now. Oscar shitting the bed, Max on a barn storming charge with all the momentum and Lando to pip them both in the last race after being so underwhelming would be hilarious

Oscar is done. Hes absolutely fell off a cliff. Its between Lando and Max now and Max is the much superior driver

If he pulls this off stick him right up there as GOAT

This is Landos title to lose

Max cannot afford to finish behind him at any point and probably will today, and Oscar has absolutely lost his head. Ive never seen such a drop off from a title leader since Button in 09. But he was already so far ahead it didn't matter

In Lando's hands now. He needs to go grab it. Had my doubts about him, but to be fair he's kept plugging away whilst Oscar flounders.

If either of the McLaren drivers win it they will be the weakest champion since Villeneuve in 97. I dont think anyone has either of them in their top 3 current drivers

Agreed

That was set for a grandstand finish with Max on Leclerc and Oscar on Bearman, and they absolutely ruined it

Overall though, they all bunch up closer, 35 points between the 4 of them, 4 races and 2 sprints to go
They are pathetic.

Don’t even get me started on the penalties to Hamilton and the lack of penalties for everyone else.

There needs to be a permanent set of stewards for the whole season.
