It's happeneing far too often. But people still living under sand. Wise up, these cunts don't care about this country they just care about killing people and terrorising people. Young girls firstly getting raped and groomed and now killed. The religion of peace. Yeah right.

Not one word of condolence just straight into to an anti Islamic rant. This isn't a tragedy for you is it, it's an opportunity.

I know plenty of people who follow the Islamic faith and they are appalled as anyone else. However there is a very nasty offshoot of Islam as there is of many religions that is flourishing in the west. I know a fella who visits on business from Pakistan who is amazed by the militant version of Islam that he sees being practised in some of our cities. Doesn't resemble his core values at all

I shouldn't have to condole in the first place. This shit should never be happening. See you point out that over the main issue. See where your priorities lie

think you should read my earlier posts on the thread to see I offered my condolences already, that was my first thought, not a politically inspired rant.

Yet again miss the point. It's not about point scoring. It's about waking up seeing what's happening in our country and by who! If this didn't happen would be no need to rant. Do you think I want to rant? course not.

It's happening all over the world - supposedly in the name of religion - which is an excuse for the gutless cunts that they are.

People like this want to divide us by exploiting our differences. This is where we have to stand united and show these animals they will not prevail.

I can see what's happening, but you sound as if your going to go down to the route of blaming all muslims rather than a small minority, (apologies if I've misinterpreted that).
There is a particular branch of islam which is spreading, (Wahhabism) and it's worrying, (it's worrying to a lot of muslims), but seen as the leader of the free world just signed a 350 billion arms deal with it's main sponsor the Saudis don't expect things to get better any time soon.

But I think it's counter productive to go labelling whole communities based on the actions of a few who carry out appalling acts like this.

Yes!

We must unite all good people and crush this wherever it is. I don't believe this is happening at the moment. At the moment they are prevailing, pretty successfully last night sadly

Condolences to those affected. It's a horrifying, pathetic and cowardly attack.

This will no doubt give the right wing justification for their racist rants, where, as has been the case throughout history, it's the minority ruining the reputation of the majority, all in the name of 'religion'.

To believe individuals can be influenced into a state of mind where there's a belief there's a "God" in the clouds wanting innocent people to be killed is a scary thought.

I am sure intelligence services are doing all they can, but it feels as though we should be doing more to infiltrate internet forums and/or local communities where we know this message is being spread. Cut it out at the source.

Pathetic individuals.

Actually this has hit home a bit. 24 hours ago I was at the Maiden gig in Birmingham. Me and my mate went. He took a work bag in, and nobody on security stopped him to search it. It was given a very weak fondle, but at no point did anyone ask him to open it. That caught my attention quite a lot as given the climate we live in, I expected at least a pat down.

It does seem though that in this case, whatever happened occured outside the main arena, by the ticket office.

Yeah by the sounds of it the bomber has walked in against the flow of the crowd as the gates have opened. Vile. Not sure which exit it was but one of the exits is a tunnel with a fairly low ceiling. Vile. R.I.P. to the victims.

Sounds like they let parents into the foyer to meet kids near the end and they've exploited that to get in. What a fuckin' warped mindset they must have.

It's an event that whoever did it will have known was predominantly kids and parents, that's the bit that stands out for me.

You expect to hear talk about certain demographics when this kind of thing happens, but the posts about Ariana Grande and her fat fanbase, what the fuck

Horrendous scenes. Sick bastards. Thoughts go out to all involved. Place holds 21000 people. Largest permanently indoor arena in Europe. From memory pretty much everyone leaves by going through the same lobby which links to Victoria so it's unlikely anyone can do anything to stop anyone getting in that area at the end of an event. Guessing that's why this particular target was selected.

Very sad. Thoughts with all those affected.

Sounds like a suicide bomber who walked in when they opened the doors for everyone to leave. Not sure how you stop this kind of thing. Its not big 9/11 style attacks being planned and coordinated. Its individuals. You can buy the materials anywhere and google how to make a bomb. Makes it near impossible to stop.

Absolute sick fuck. Disgusting targeting children. Condolences to all involved.

I've had enough of this this now actions need to be taken against this twisted wahabi madness.

Any member of the ruling/political class in this country with ties to Saudi Arabia needs to be hounded out of office. Lets be clear here. This isn't Islam, this is Wahabi fundamentalism funded entirely by Saudi Arabia. I hope Mrs. May feels sick to her fucking stomach today supporting those vile murderers.

What can be done though? We could say anybody linked to this is instantly taken out the back and shot but then what happens? Their kids grow up just as bad and others join in and it spreads from there.

Of course we shouldn't be scared of them, but what can be done to prevent it? That's the scariest bit.

MI5 etc can only do so much and do intercept lots of planned things.

Trump going on about Iran as a sponsor of terrorism when talking in Israel yesterday when he's just visited Saudi FFS!
The Suads won't be happy until they've had their war with Iran and when that kicks off we'll all know about. Even though Obama was a tosser he managed to avoid it but Trumps too stupid, he'll do the Saudis biding for them no doubt we'll be at his side.

I agree with you 50%.

Any connection with Saudi Arabia needs to be severed. Blanket ban to those fucking thundercunts. However, it is also Islam too. This guy no doubt was known to security services and was probably brainwashed in the UK at a mosque that knew who he was and did nothing about it. In my opinion the only way attacks like this will stop in the future is the people in the latter category speaking up.

I do think it is too late however, attacks like this will only increase.

RIP to all the victims. I am unbelievably cross.

the Saudis are paying big bucks to get Wahhabism spread all over the world.
The yanks have let them do it for years on the proviso that they keep the oil tap to the US running.

I share your anger. I know it shouldn't matter what concert it was but the fact it was a family concert for mainly young girls just seems to make it all worse, probably wrong to think that.

Perhaps because I have been that parent, waiting outside a concert for his daughters that it seems to resonate a bit more.

It was the first thing that struck me about it too. Obviously there's no such thing as an acceptable target, but this seems particularly callous.

RIP to those at Manchester and condolences to the families who have lost loved ones.
Like others it resonates because as a dad I have stood outside events waiting for daughters cursing them for being late and feeling relief when they emerge. Impossible to understand how those parents who are still waiting must feel today.
As for the hand wringing there is so much more that could be done...as others have said re the Saudis etc, within and by the majority of peaceful law abiding Muslims, by you and me everyday. It is easy to dismiss the perpetrators as sick and religious fanatics but we must remember that they themselves (as well as many others who support them) see what they do as rational and within the tradition of their form of Islam. They are seen as Martyrs rather than extremists, God loving rather than fanatics, true believers rather than outsiders.
We will step up security over the next few days, arrest a few people and have endless discussion but within a week or so we will move on ...until the next atrocity. At some point, unless there is a real and determined, attempt to understand and address the issue on a global scale I fear a backlash, in some countries, that will target all (the innocent as well as the guilty) and destroy much of the cohesion that still exists in society.
