Let's guess what the excuses will be for not going the Crewe game.

I'll start...

'£10 is still too much for a football game. If they posted me the ticket, gave me a free shirt, free parking and a pie, I'd be tempted.'

Can't afford it alongside my free Wasps ticket, sure it was free but I've got take £20 to spend at the Arena so can't go. Priorities and all that.

Tried to buy a ticket for my 3 year old and got asked for a fiver, I told them to stuff it

Couldn't work out how to order a ticket online so I gave up

Ok, i'll bite...

( i will be there though)

lower league one
poor home record
lost interest after going to northampton
not owning ricoh
owners not investing in merchandise, let alone a team
no success in many fans lifetimes
its likely we are already safe
no long term strategy from our owners
they are still persuing court battle
still no news on news stadium after 18 months
"the way forward" hasn't been "the way forward"

Because
We are the worst fans in the land.
Fickle.
Not real supporters for failing to go to Northampton.
Read the treads on here and get the real story of how shit we really are.
Don't know any of the players.
No atmosphere.
Ricoh is not our home and never has been.
CCC said not to go
CET told us not to go.
Higgs Told us not to go.
Wasps have a bigger badge then us.
Pitch is shit.

It means having to take my slippers off and putting my shoes on.

They are lace-ups.

If they were slip-ons I'd go.

This has the sound of a couple of 12 year olds bickering in the playground!
Anyway for me, season over, have a life

It does indeed, Macca and of course I am only joking and will indeed go.

Unless of course I suddenly get hiccups or it's a bit cloudy.

It will be the most embarrassing lap of honour at the end of the game. Scraping safety in league one without the caveat of having a 10 point deduction.

I'll be there and taking a few extras with me.

They will do the lap though and we will have some City fans applauding wildly and pouring adoration upon their heroes.

Funny lot, us football fans.

It's a 400 mile round trip for me therefore the ticket price is irrelevant, it accounts for less than 20% of the total cost of attending a match.

I am no more or less likely to attend a £10 game than I would a £24 one.

Can't make Saturday due to family commitments.

Not sure why you need the "though". OK, a few seem reasonable, Northampton. Do people really not go and support their team because we don't own the Ricoh or that SISU are still pursuing a court case?

I still say you either support or you don't it's not a tap you turn.

How about - I enjoy other things more and it's a free country so I can choose to spend my time how I want to without being lectured by smug pr**ks.

They should scrap the lap of honour until we actually have a decent season, although no doubt some would moan if they did. They should just go over at the end of the game and clap the fans, bit more of an effort than they make at a usual game and then lets move on to next season. If they really want to push the boat out record video messages from some of the players thanking the fans and play it after the match.
