These people can't be rehabilitated. Some people are simply cunts and death is almost too good for them. I'd happily have them put to sleep to stop them being a burden on society, let alone the costs incurred.

I think life is going to be worse than death for these people where they’re going.

I get the death penalty argument, I do find it disturbing though when people give detailed lists of how they’d ‘stick them in an industrial grinder’ etc

They will likely be protected by prison officers who are overworked, badly paid and hate them as much as the next person.

I don’t think Mr Huntley is funding it worse or Mrs West

Does the judge have discretion here or are there sentencing guidelines he has to follow?

I've just read the BBC news article on the case and shed a tear. The picture of the poor boy the day before his death unable to pick up his blanket

I'm genuinely upset by this....what utter fucking cunts. Sorry to use such language but that poor little fella...

I hope those two wankers get whats coming to them inside. Absolute evil scum.

At least the lad isn't suffering anymore.

Some people don't deserve the oxygen they breathe, fucking pricks.

Totally agree with every word you've written Weeman. It really brought a tear to my eye.

Through some work I've done in my career, I have seen some real cases of deprivation and have dealt with things that have made me weep, but hearing this was just terrible. They are both evil beyond belief.

Its all sadly too late for that poor little boy, but someone is going to fuck them both up badly in prison, and it will happen again and again, and its totally deserved.

I mean, Huntley has been attacked multiple times...had scolded water poured on him, throat slashed...I think he probably has found it worse than your 'average murderer', especially earlier in his sentence

I openly wept watching the news report last night. What those evil vermin did to that poor little boy beggars belief. What a miserable existance he must have had to say "Nobody loves me".

Not sure. Id imagine the length is bound by guidelines. At least hers is a minimum.

Hopefully his is a full term and he doesn't get out after half of the sentence. Actually, if he does, I'd imagine he'd be a target for some.

True. If he only serves 10-11 years, his appearance wouldn't change that much. Not like the Jamie Bulger pair who were given new identities and likely looked a lot different when they came out.

This case is basically the ultimate test of opponents to the death penalty. I’ll be honest I find it very hard when there is zero remorse, there’s been so much sustained cruelty and above all the victim is a little kid.

Part of me wants it done to them in full

Sentencing, Justice Mark Wall QC said the case was "one of the most distressing and disturbing" he had ever dealt with.
He said neither defendant had shown any remorse and their behaviour had been "spiteful and sadistic".
One of the most troubling aspects of the case, he added, was that Tustin's own two children "lived a perfectly happy life in that house" just yards from where Arthur was subjected to unthinkable abuse.

I hadn't read before that she had kids there and was treating them properly, all very tragic.

Just watched the video.

Don´t bother unless you want your night ruined.

I´m not someone that generally agrees with the death penalty either, but I would not lose a wink of sleep putting a bullet in either of them.

I think that's quite common to differing extents, in the anecdotal info I've become aware of women in particular can seem unable to treat a step child in the same way they treat their own

I read today he loved his Blues top, so she cut it up with a pair of scissors in front of him, evil cruel pair of bastards. Prison karma will hopefully be harsh on them every single day.

I’m a grandfather & also legal guardian along with my wife to my grandson who is six.
This hits home so hard & made me cry for the poor fella.
As COV said earlier, what were social services doing? Well, having had dealings with them, from my own experiences cases just get handed over and over as staff either leave or move on. It seemed to me once a social worker handed the folder over to the next, the whole process just started all over again.
I can’t wait to get back home next week and hold him & tell him how much I love him. Wish so much Arthur had had that basic bit of human affection.
Arthur you was loved by all decent and compassionate people & I hope tomorrow you do get that round of applause I’ve heard mentioned.
RIP you little Blue Nose. KRO

Genuine question, what is it with these child killers and using excessive amounts of salt? It was the same with Daniel Pelka if I recall correctly.

Just seems a weird thing that these cunts have in common.

Read all of it. The boy never had a chance. Though I do think if I were a hairdresser and heard him being told what his dad said, combined with the other physical evidence, I would have quietly called the police.

I've just posted on the main forum, but the Blues forum are saying that we're paying some sort of tribute to young Arthur at today's game (not heard, but guessing a 6th minute tribute?) This has rightly touched so many people - almost unbearable hearing those tape recordings, and - like others - really can't bring myself to dig further into the details. RIP Arthur

While I’m still pretty anti death penalty for the usual reasons. I see no such problems with using chemical castration in cases like this where the evidence is overwhelming that these people should never be responsible for children again.
