We were not shit. We were the better team. We had 61% possession. We had 16 shots on goal, 10 on target. We scored 3 perfectly good goals. They scored only one which should have stood. We were let down by poor refereeing and a very poor defence. The only place Stevenage were better than us was in defence. It's not the end of the world, when we get a new manager he could turn these performances into wins. Keep your chins up and, for fucks sake, get behind the team and stop booing.

I get what your saying, but that is the sort of losing attitude that will keep us in League 1 until next season. We should have been 3-0 up in 15mins, but we lost 2-1, that is the difference

someone told me that oggy said to him that city will struggle in that league this season no matter how much i love oggy you can't have that attitude within the club.

Yes we should have but hopefully a new manager can fix that.

Nope we were shit We had a good 30 minutes at the beginning of the game and hopeless for the rest apart from Mcgoldrick

Blaming linesmans and refs is not on. Elliott was borderline off and Mcgoldricks disallowed goal was probably correct in the modern game.

There first goal was debatable but should we use this to deflect blame from Murphy who parried a relatively simple shot back out to the penalty box instead of out to the wings

They weren't perfectly good goals, possession doesn't matter. They won 2-1 :(

Elliot's was onside. No doubting it. McGoldricks is more iffy. Instant reaction was correct decision, having seen it again not so sure. Just stood his ground. Karl Robinson agrees with me :)

We have already sacked the manager. At least let the new guy get appointed before writing them off.

I'm sorry but we haven't won in the league at home since March against Pompey, I'm sick of watching us play great for 30mins then switch off for the rest, tired of defending them, we were shit it's a simple as that!! And another thing they're Pro Footballers yet none of them can trap a ball, nearly every player was clumsy whilst bringing the ball to feet it's pathetic.

The op was no doubt spouting this same crap last season.

You really are a prick. I actually said we would go down last year. How can you not see we dominated the game? Our strike force looked better. McGoldrick is good so far. The issue is defensive organisation.

End of the day result stands blame who you want linesmen ref's players! End of day if the manager don't do his job properly then we won't win. Shaw stood and watched the game i shouted more than him.

the only statistic i'm bothered about is that we lost 2-1. i doubt stevenage fans are going to be disappointed that we had more shots and more possession.

I'm getting tired or saying this now but we do have a good team. They are just shot to pieces now mentally.

We looked like champions at the start, played some good stuff. Concede a sloppy goal and our heads dropped.

We need a strong manager, and someone that can get them to relax on the ball, but battle and make good movements when not.

It is a worry about the mental strengths of the players, but this is the result of relegation, SISU slashing wages of players mid contract, poor start, manager sacked, fans booing their own team.

You can argue all you like that it's their fault, but this is a vicious circle. They need some wins and support to perform, but until they get that it's a downward spiral.

Thankfully we should have a new manager for our next game.

Let's get a new manager before writing the season off. There is reason for optimism with the right man at the helm and the right tactics employed.

He was in line with the keeper and 2 yards away. It would have put me off if I was in goal.
Lets face it, either way Murphy wasn't saving it

If he had dealt with the first shot correctly none of it would have happened

The only prick on here mark is you. Take your do gooder, tree hugging bullshit and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. Just Like the owners these players are fecking shit.

I guess you are one of the idiots booing? What is wrong with saying a new manager can do ok with this bunch of players. These players are good enough to win the league. What they need is a manager good enough to turn performances into victories.

Why do some people accept this dross !!!!!, and the "we will get better crap" . We will not get better until we get rid of the tripe in the team, Baker and Hussey and Murphy are'nt up to Evostick league standard, and what manager, caretaker or not, allows our main goalscoring hope,Mc Donald to be a stone over weight at this time of the year, totally clueless and yet some people on here think we have some chance this season of doing well.

Lets just admit it, we are up shite creek without a paddle, and we all know we will be taking the cheapest option with the new manager appointment, they are just waiting for Shaw to win a game in the league so they can give it to him.

What makes you think they will give Shaw the job. Thorn was given the job because the fans demanded it. I know this goes against the "cheapest option" dross spouted last year but Thorn was the popular choice at the time.

I wouldn't disagree we have some big issues, but we will still do ok with the right manager. I'm concerned about our fans. I think they are a bigger problem to be honest. We actually need to get behind the team and the new manager regardless of who he is. Positivity does breed success. I'm as guilty as everyone else at times of being negative but it can't help the team constantly calling them shit and booing.

Well that was another waste of an afternoon.

Good 20 mins let in a goal and then totally inept. For me the blame lies more with midfield than defence, although there were some defensive mistakes. There first goal, poor touch from Barton lost the ball and couldnt be arsed to run to get it back. Jennings our defensive mid was nowhere to be seen so Wood dives in like a Sunday leaguer gets skinned. 2 defenders go for same ball so they got a shot in. Wood doesnt track back goal to them. Second goal poor marking flick on and Barton loses his man and its goal. Barton is a player that we cant afford to have, he's lightweight and doesnt put the effort in thats required, Jennings does nothing for me, Kilbane is to slow and Baker was again poor. We play slow boring side to side stuff and its crap. The front 2 played okay. Its the midfield that dictate the pace of our play and they were awful today and not for the first time.

doesnt matter what we think about offside decisions or refereeing decisions, we lost at home to stevenage in front of less than 10,000 fans, RIP CCFC. Been a cov fan for nigh on 35 years but now had enough. PATHETIC

What has there been to convince you of this though?
