His pace has been vital in covering for slower CB’s and has made the back line even more solid.

I don't really agree with that. There's a massive difference between how he has played in this tournament and how he has been for England generally in the past.

I would rather focus on the now and present where he has been fantastic though, total mark up in my opinion at least.

As I said in my last post, there are a handful of players who I think have made themselves almost undroppable based on performances this tournament. We should be very proud.

I think the big difference is they were made to chase the ball against a good footballing side .

The pace the 2 teams were going at upto extra time was frightening

Italy are a very fit , organised side who attack with pace , they will chase us down all match .

We have to get it right , and they've had the extra days rest

It was pretty incredible the last 7 or 8 mins of extra time. They couldn’t get near the ball. Sterling and Walker still looked like Olympic sprinters.
