No way will they vote to resume BCD.
From BBC Sport
Brewers chairman Ben Robinson indicated the financial impact of the coronavirus crisis had played a part in Clough leaving.

"Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic is having a dramatic impact on all football clubs, meaning we have to make difficult financial decisions going forward in order to safeguard the club and ensure it still exists for the supporters and the benefit of the community for generations to come," Robinson told the club website.

Sounds like the clubs in league 1 need to vote to end the season, all this bollocks about clubs like Lincoln and Bristol wanting to play on... You couldn't fucking afford it... Teams from 6th down need to be voted away and this Billy big bollocks talk by twats like the posh owner put to an end

Top 2 up, 3rd to 6th playoffs, bottom 3 down.. . The end.

I'm sick of him. Kicked off as soon as he heard that EFL were thinking of non weighted PPG...this option has Posh 7th!...and out of playoffs.

This announcement could be a game changer for the L1 club Chairmen. I wouldn't be surprised if there were not a couple more clubs to follow suit later this week. The position of the Peterborough 6 is destructive to other clubs and if the league restarts, there will be a number of clubs force to concede games by not fielding a team. So, the sporting integrity goes up in flames!
Interestingly, the FA have proposed that the Womens Super League is decided on PPG too. So that L2 & WSL....and the top two in the WSL get to compete in the European Club Champs.

Rick Parry needs to take charge and put DM in his place, if DM wants to take legal action then so be it, he will end up losing more money. I find his comment about Ivan Toney being worth 20M-25M quite amusing.

The EFL need to step in and tell MacAnthony and all the others tossers that they run the competition and clubs need to do as they tell them, or drop out next season.
Nobody should be able to dictate terms away from the norm, even if it doesn't feel fair, self-interest from DM, not sporting integrity of the whole league.
BSB are you the new leader of his fan club? perhaps a different shade of blue might make you feel happier.

What a load of drivel

At a guess, the SPL must have more, if not very similar, expenditure than L1, and they’ve shut up shop. Which tells me that those clubs in L1 who wish to resume must’ve seriously underachieved if they afford to carry on

He really is a rancid prick, made some gag on the sky blues extra interview about spending more in a night at Vegas than the entire budget of a small league one club.
Yeah that comment didn't sit well with me. He's a big fish in a small pond. Classic playground bully. Wouldn't want him anywhere near our club.

Shame for Burton that just shows how close clubs are sailing to the wind dont help with dick heads like DM thinking he runs the league or the EFL for yet again showing no balls or back bone

This will be used as ammunition in the meeting I'm sure... Once certain clubs accept that the playoffs are an option for them I can't see 12 clubs declining to end the season.. Not in a million years

"Tell me again how a football chairman is a wanker for trying to play football games"

A football chairman's job is to ensure their club continues to operate. It is the competition organiser's, the EFL, job to ensure games are played. We are at an unprecedented time putting huge strain on football clubs. MacAnthony is a wanker because he has no solidarity with clubs who he sees as beneath him. He'd be happy to drag this on until 22 clubs go bust if it meant he got promoted, there is no integrity left in this competition and his reckless endeavour has gone on too long now. This is serious, clubs could go under. Call the season now.

Whilst I don't agree with much of what he has done/said. He said that he would be worth that money if he scored 20+ for them in the Champs next season. Important not to take things out of context

Clinging on to the desperate hope that the EFL have told us and Rotherham we are definitely up regardless and that is why our owners have stayed out of everything!

If the club thought there was a risk that we would not get promoted you'd think they would be throwing up more of a shit storm (like DMAC) but with an actual reason to be annoyed!

I think it's best our owners stay quiet anyway, they're not exactly popular. If Tim Fisher came out and said we deserve to go up as ppg champions some of our fans would say it's only fair we're entered into a mini league on -10 points.

It's not our fans you'd have to be worried about. We don't want to be making public statements about how we deserve to be promoted whilst the sour six are on the rampage. Sometimes it's definitely better saying nothing.

the season ended on tuesday 10 march 2020, the night sunderland were beaten at bristol rovers which in reality ended their play off aspirations. just say, league 1 footy resumed in july 2020, that would represent a 16 week break, how on earth can anybody judge that as reasonable or fair. clubs in league 1 have furloughed their staff, they will not have been in control of how their players have or not maintained fitness etc. a three week pre season is nonsense. there are only two options the season is binned, no promotion, no relegation or promotion/relegation and play off contenders are decided on ppg. they are the only feasible options. sooner rather than later would be good.

It still remains a ridiculous statement though. This was his full quote:
"The plan with Ivan Toney was for us to win promotion to the Championship, offer him a much better contract, watch him score 20 goals in the Championship and then he could be worth £20-£25 million,” MacAnthony said. “But that could be taken away from us without kicking another football.

“We don’t have to sell him if we don’t go up, but Ivan wants Championship football and it would hard to deny him the chance. It could be Ivan has played his last game for us."

Fair enough he might've lost him in the summer window due to not playing in a higher division but his initial comment is frankly ridiculous.

That's literally like DB saying: Well it's disappointing we weren't crowned as champions and promoted to the Championship as we had a plan with Matty Godden and that was to score 45 goals in the Championship, go up to the Premier League, watch him score another 20-25 goals, sell him for £100M, buy the Ricoh and send Wasps back to London. But now because of the EFL we can't and the dream has been ripped away from us.

It's hypothetical bollocks.
