I think Premier League and Championship would be ok, particularly if they could do something with TV deals that led to more games being shown on TV (championship clubs get £100k for being on TV with a slight uplift for Sunday/Thursday). For what can't be shown on TV if they can offer ifollow then most have a big enough following to bring in significant extra revenue that way.

It's exceptionalist nonsense, if L1 and L2 finishes this way so should the rest. I do wonder now though that it isn't just about the clubs financial position but the TV companies. Their advertising revenue will have gone through the floor and they'd have lost numerous subscriptions, be great for football long term if the whole thing went bump.

But it would result in the league’s reaching a conclusion that’s beyond reproach.

EFL: 'Leagues One & Two clubs accept season over - so what happens next'

"League Two is fairly stable, however it is assessed. Crewe, Swindon and Plymouth can be pretty confident of an automatic promotion spot. In League One, Coventry would seem certain to return to the Championship - and an interesting ground-share with Birmingham, who are in the same league."

Because Hancock is trying to deflect attention from his failures

It’d make more sense for a club to sue if they’d established themselves several points clear at the top of the table if the season was void and nullified. With what, 78% of the season played?

I could only see an appeal on account of what “could” happen, if the season eventually restarted, being laughed out of court.

Realistically I can’t see anything other than us being promoted. Before this Saturday, certainly before next. The meeting is this Friday as far as I know.
