Just remember for next season. If Tranmere are 3rd or 4th in Lge 2 with 10 games to go, about 6pts off top... Bet the mortgage on them winning the league... It is what they do!

Anything stopping clubs paying for their own tests if they wanted games to continue? They're going to end up paying for them anyway.

The clubs can vote however they like, testing doesn’t affect that. Of course, the EFL may have been given a pretty strong indication of how the clubs will vote fairly and have acted accordingly.

I would imagine the league have done some canvassing of opinion and are confident that their option will get passed while Tranmere's will get about 7 votes. Already crying about it not being fair

Exactly!! All the clubs involved will have a very good idea of how the vote will pan out.

It makes absolute sense that the clubs likely to still have some competitive football to
Play this season start to prepare for it.
iIf Tranmere or anyone else think they will be playing again ‘there is nothing stopping
them preparing for it also.

When you think of Tranmeres proposal had them playing a play off style league for relegation maybe people would have taken the idea a bit more serious.

She's being a bit ridiculous, the EFL is not realistically going to test everybody if it thinks the clubs will vote a certain way

Maybe she should save her money to go on more valuable things... Like an A to Z of Barrow.

She's boring us now. Life is full of hard stories and bad luck. If tranmere are that good wtf are they in this position in the first place. And secondly bounce back next year and then prove everyone wrong, stop fucking crying and get on with it, life sucks deal with it.

I'd guess most contracts don't have an amount specified if we get promoted
If they do have a clause it would most likely say something like the contract would be renegotiated if we went up
There will be bonuses for promotion but as these are usually calculated according to the number of games each player featured in it will be a saving for the club if ppg is agreed

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Players can have relegation clauses (not always if you look at the mess Sunderland are in), so by the same argument some players might join with promotion clauses as well.

In any case, all of these adjustments are going to be easily affordable with the increased budget, its just about how much additional cash MR might have to improve things.

Will SISU gamble on a £140 million bet?

I am going to say no. But it will be cheaper to "have a go" next season compared with seasons gone by... Sheffield United got promoted with a 10m loss which is pretty special...

To be entirely honest, I would be delighted if we were able to consolidate ourselves in the Championship, but to progress much further we are going to need investment from somewhere. It's not like Sisu could command top dollar for selling the club in this climate either so we are stuck with them for a little longer...

Agreed. It also makes sense because if those four teams were all riddled with corona the EFL might have alter/pull the vote (ie no point even proposing play offs if they physically can’t take place)

Nobody is going to vote for the Tranmere option.
Posted before. Two promoted, three relegated and 4 team play offs based on PPG
The only controversial part could be if Fleetwood, Oxford or Wycombe cannot afford to play in the play offs.

I'm sure they will find the money from somewhere!

With how the EFL last statements have been. Think its more likely to be later as most are around 4/5. But any major information should be leaked hopefully !

It's almost as if there's a vendetta against Tranmere, FFS grow up and deal with it

I'd be amazed if any of our players have a contract with a specified amount of increase if we get promoted
They will definitely have a bonus plan as all clubs have one but that will be based on number of games the player featured in etc.
Many contracts will have a clause saying that it will he renegotiated if we win promotion but these will normally be players who have come in from other clubs

No I want us all waiting on a given time. I don’t want it to trickle out over Twitter that’s doubly underwhelming.

Exactly! It’s the difference between following the match thread live and coming in after a shift at work and catching up.

I'm hoping the official twitter will post a "EFL and club update due at 6pm" style post at some point tomorrow.
