Are we moving permanently then?

Wasn’t it Moz who thought Wasps was a great sporting occasion? Surely that’s where he should have been against it?

Again, I don’t believe this but I believe the thinking is either:

A) Sisu will blink as their asset will be worthless otherwise so they drop the legals and do a deal

B) Wasps will blink as they don’t want to kill the club and will drop their prerequisites.

I have no faith that either would happen. I think like a no deal Brexit we’d go out of the league by default because everyone’s useless.

I have done the survey for what its worth - rather stark choices though (I didn't go for the 3rd one by the way)

Surely that would make the hypocrisy worse? Outraged at a temporary move yet applaud a permanent move.

How much did it cost the owners in the end? What would that be in today’s money? Do you think SISU would stump that up?

So where does that leave CCFC even after SISU have gone? This is why it's really not that straight forward when people say "The EFL should just strip the golden share and hand it to somebody else".
I have said it elsewhere - if Sisu went and there were new owners wasps couldnt use Sisu legals as an excuse for not doing a deal with ccfc for use of the Ricoh, even if the legals continued. However if a Sisu free ccfc ever wanted their own stadium I think the council would do whatever is possible roughly within the law to prevent it. They are not neutral in this case (although should be neutered )

It took a change in ownership to achieve that though.

that's a terrible survey... give us a realistic distance - 25 miles say, plenty of acceptable stadiums within that distance - and its B of course... but 50 Miles !! do I want to go to Nottingham , err no! Wy would I when Birmingham is half the distance and will do

Yup.

Totally agree.

One more season at Northampton and that would have been me done with the club and I know so many who felt exactly the same way. So many were close to quitting the club completely.

I have quite a few City supporting neighbours in my street and all of them have said they won't go if we move any sort of distance.

All 3 options are terrible. Truly awful and the notion that we can just come back after 3 years is utterly ridiculous. If the legal challenge is still ongoing (entirely possible), Wasps still won't deal with us and the 3 years would have to be extended anyway.
You are at least being asked this time Otis, you say no further than Nuneaton but there is nowhere that close that could (A) accommodate us or (B) meet league requirements. It is a shit show no doubt, but as a last resort it has to be A or B, it could also be argued that a large response to this survey for A or B could put pressure on Wasps to do a deal, as I'm sure they need the revenues from our matches and if they see a good number of us are prepared to travel up to 50 miles the drop the legals and we'll talk will soon be forgotten.

Didn't a rich fan put in £80m in and convert it to shares.

Why? They've said they won't talk unless legal action is dropped. If SISU leave and legal action continues their condition for talks hasn't been met.

That was for the new stadium not the cost of the 2 year ground share (Brentford IIRC) which was covered by the previous directors and a charity single.

Sorry, thought that was what you meant. A move doesn't have to cost much if you cut your budget based on the amount you've got coming in. There's L1 / L2 clubs that only get a couple of thousand and survive.

Moving away was done before and didn't really change anything all it did was delay the crossroad we are now at. The questions within the survey are not anything other than a realistic situation we are in. Within 25 miles of the city is obviously not on the table and has been moved from 7 miles to 50miles so something has changed or asked.

For me, the only question is are you willing to travel to watch home games knowing nothing will change while the parties involved are in the postilion they hold today. If you think something will change within position or stance of any party involved then a time restricted move is the only option.

My opinion is if they are allowed to move again they will not come back or be forced to come back. If they cant do a deal now with all this going on they never will.

There is a difference between answering (for instance) A or B, and whether you would attend in either scenario. Even if a lot wanted to go, it adds another potential 3 hours to the day for most people, prevents some going for a drink/socialise in the same way, as well as adversely affecting Coventry's local economy again. Pubs, casino, shops etc etc. Oh yeah, the cost of travelling for us fans????

50 miles can be done in an hour, it might prove easier to get to for some than the Ricoh, for example it takes me 30 mins from Wyken including getting parked. 50 miles also provides more options. Answer B as the club would have to commit to returning home.

I could get to sixfields in about 40 minutes

After playing in a stadium 85 miles away abd a dedicated following that committed to the long term good of the club

Imagine 50 miles (100 mile round trip) The club had hardly any support when in Northampton so 50 miles will put the most hardened fan off.
It's like Brexit, why are we still talking about this?
We know the solution so why don't they get on with it!

Its not a vote on if you would or could personally attend in any of those scenarios.

I answered B, move away for three years at Championship/League 1 level so long as there's a clear way back for CCFC to return within a set timescale, preferably to a stadium not owned by Wasps. (That's how I've perceived the question/answer!)
Rather that than vote A, move away with no set timescale or strategy to return, or C, get expelled from the EFL, play non-league football at Nuneaton (if Norman will have us!) Shitty ground, shitty football, no set timescale or strategy to return.
