He doesn't own the CBS however. Frasers do, and he stepped away from the board.
Isn't he still the largest shareholder in Fraser Group ?
Potentially owning SU (himself), and holding another club (us) to ransom with large rent increases (Frasers Group-the company in which he has a large personal shareholding), could be seen as conflict of interest, surely.

Portsmouth
Bar to compare us against.

Bournemouth just taken over by an American. Premier League approved it very recently. Suggestions he made the application in October and he's been approved in the last week or so. He'll take over the Chairmanship on 31 December, 2022. So approximately 2 months.

Let's see how quickly EFL can get ours done.... Though to date, I think Sheff Utd's change in ownership will probably happen quicker

It's not as easy as that though. Every club will have their own complexities that require a different amount of time and effort to go through.

There's no comparison to be made with other clubs...unfortunately it'll take as long as it takes.

thats fine but why were we told it was imminent 2 weeks ago. Everyone was reporting it was imminent. The whole thing stinks to me but I obviously hope I’m wrong

Apparently the final installment due to HMRC is tomorrow.
Maybe the EFL are awaiting confirmation that it's been paid
and transfer embargo is lifted and the takeover approved at the
same time.

i am now completely reassured about King. i like him.

Currently oversees so watched tonight via i-follow, the camera panned to him several times throughout the game including after we scored and at full time.

He seemed genuinely elated. was there with (i assume his sons) all smiles and hugs. his passion i have no doubt for.

worth a watch on repeat if anyone can access from ifollow

Agree and at least he was there has to be a plus with this doubt about him, he looked full of it. Need this deal to go through, get 3/4 better players in this team we’ll be a strong force in the second half of the season

Callum Best cheers when Dorking FC Women's team scores, not a good barometer of a good Chairman, he joins in training too

It's a fair point regarding Best - the guy is an idiot - but if you think I'm going to get conned into getting excited about King because he shows some passion at the games, then you're absolutely fucking right.

Keeping incredibly quiet as he can’t be seen to be getting his nose in whilst not yet accepted by the EFL - though I’ve heard a little rumour he’s not too happy with season tickets being as cheap as they are

He has a point but that’s a conversation for another day.
