If he wants to win the fans over early there is a certain Swedish striker who could do with having a big fat contract slapped in front of him…

Can flap it all day but I've a feeling that no contract we can offer will keep the lad here , we need to cash in as soon as an acceptable offer comes in

Can’t wait for 5 years time when the 60m debt reappears after being told we’re debt free
I don't know why everyone is acting like this would be out of this world.

We're one of the few clubs that are debt free right now. End of the month when wages go out we're probably back in debt again.

in 5 years it would be piece of piss to get £60m into the red

Timing is VERY interesting, if Ashley ever had a plan to buy the club then this puts the kibosh on that... he may even pull out of stadium purchase?

Or are SISU using Doug Kings bid to force Mike Ashley's hand into making a bid for the club earlier than he would have wanted to.

People speculated that MA might be planning to get the stadium and sit on it, stressing SISUs income and waiting until the club slump to lower price. If another wealthy owner comes in with 8 years left on the lease that plan wouldn't work.

Very interesting times. I recon there is some 4D chess going on

Sounds like King’s takeover is done, with the quotes from SISU confirming it. If the ownership of the CBS is still up in the air then there’s 3 scenarios as I see it.

1) The King takeover has only been done to put King / Sisu in a better position to obtain the CBS.

2) The CBS deal is done, and was reliant on King taking over.

3) King has already agreed a deal / arrangement with Ashley (or new CBS owner) e.g rent, profits, etc

Maybe he's in it for the love of the club and thinks a fair rental deal won't be the end of the world.

I mean this is ccfc and probably not but there could be plenty of non suspicious reasons he wants to own the club.
Maybe he fancies actually building a ground at Warwick Uni as a backup? Maybe it kicks the can down the road for eight years?

Plenty of ways it could go wrong but hey, SISU have owned the football club since the birth of Christ without owning the stadium, so may as well let someone else have a go.

I get it's good new but I dunno. This is the time to get that fucking stadium. I don't feel like celebrating yet.

Or, since it looks like the deal hasn’t been finalised (just agreed) MA might have to pay SISU a lot more …..

Maybe we've just blown the chance to be owned by a billionaire who also owns the stadium, instead of continuing to rent from said billionaire.

Does this stop the stadium court case bid tomorrow ? ACL are a separate business to ccfc, who are just rent payers same as the casino.
All very murky.
