Not sure he’ll take that much convincing! Think Dom Hyam must have been on the single malt that day.

Not sure it means anything either way him being there or not. The optics may say its bad but we are not going to get the truth on it anyway.

Any announcement will come out the blue like everything else connected to the club.

I think O'Hare was as good as gone in January. Has this new injury has scuppered our financial plans?

We may have been able to keep Gyok as long as his release fee wasnt triggered?

But January is the time to tweek your squad, not rebuild.

Shame for the lad. As much as I don't want to see him go he deserves a big earner and that's twice he's had it pulled from under him.

Robins said he'd already told O'Hare (and Vik) they won't be leaving in January, prior to Callum's injury on boxing day.

Let's be honest with our self's now , this take over isn't going to happen !
It's gone on to long with the one question the EFL are asking that Doug can't answer, "where will Coventry city be playing next season " and because he can't answer that question he will be rejected by the EFL .
Only one person can answer that and he will become the next owner , like it or not.
Imo the sooner the better.

By that logic even Jeff Bezos wouldn’t pass the EFL test then.

How can King answer that question? The current contract is only until the end of the season. Until he is approved as the owner he cant take any part in the club s affairs and not in a position to negotiate a new one.

Well he can’t but perhaps he’s been asked to sort that security before a takeover and frankly I’d support that all the way

The current owners are in no better position than King to answer that question in reality.

That's very true but the EFL cannot really do anything about the current owners, what they will do is make sure any future owner has the ground situation sorted. Fraser group own the stadium and either they buy the club or the owners of the club enter into a long term contract to rent the stadium. Until either of these options happen there is zero chance of EFL approval in my opinion, but who knows.

But don't lots of clubs rent stadiums? And are at various stages of those leases. The EFL cannot expect certainty any more than anyone can.

Which puts the club in a weak position when negotiating with Frasers

The ‘where we play’ shouldn’t come into the ‘ownership’ of CCFC. That’s nothing to do with the assets of buying a football club.

If we rent like many clubs that’s for the club to ensure the EFL that we can fulfil our fixtures in my opinion another discussion.

well it does as part of ownership is a knowledge of where we play and if it’s affordable

Haven't got time to look it up at the moment but pretty sure there's a regulation that requires a minimum of a 10 year lease in place.

Of course the downside of that means Frasers have the club over a barrel when it's time to negotiate, if they say they want £5m a year or some other ridiculous sum what can we do? Not like the new stadium is ever likely to happen

Not sure that’s how it works in business especially when it’s a mutually desirable solution

If that is the case, why would the club be expecting clearance from the EFL?
I mean, why even pretend, knowing it will be exposed?
