In the same way as mobile phone companies and broadband providers offer better deals to new rather than their existing customers.

Corporate prices - thinking on the prices and details:

Talks about the season tickets and premier package, thanking all of the people who have bought the tickets

Now saying to all the corporates, that the fans are doing their bit, now it's time for the corporate/companies to back the club

Says £9000 was the wrong price

We need the revenue in order to go forward, doesn't want to stand still

100% that the revenue gained from the tickets/corporate tickets, will go to the football club, and not to pay off any debts

More revenue, means higher quality squad

Box holders won't like the response. Very much aligned with what many on here are saying that they were too cheap and should be a privilege.

If what he just said is true, that it was working out at £50 a game, then it clearly was too cheap

If people want to take kids to the corporate areas, they need to pay the price.

I agree with him. It's a waste of a seat if a kid is getting in on the cheap and it could be sold for twice the price to an adult.

Agreed, telling it how it is.

Some won't like it, but it's needed. It's a business, it can't be run like it was before.

Delay in corporate tickets and prices being announced was because of the uplift in the corporate hospitality, and the stadium/Fraser's making changes to improve it all

Absolutely love having someone just straight up talking direct saying it how it is. The key word is it is a privilege to be in hospitality.

Good to hear that he wants us to be top half/playoff regular contenders ans we need to have the revenues to match that.

Impressed with King, no wishy washy responses.

Why are current box holders complaining of limited seating choices? We've sold 13,000 tickets and have 25,000 available outside of the away end. Once they open up fully in July, there will be ample.

We’re at the start of the transfer window. We’ve known for a while it’s a big window. Reality is things don’t happen fast. We’re confident to build a team worthy playing at the top level. In respect to Vik. He’s been on media and made his comments. Some degree disappointing what he’s said. We bought him and he has another year. If we decide we want him to stay one more season to get us to the premier league then he needs to get that in his mind. It’s not all one sided. I don’t like the press talk. We will handle it. Sporting Lisbon have been in touch with us. When the player move has to agree with both parties. Vik doesn’t tell us what to do. Reality is it’s early in the window, lot of interest in him. I’m calm about it. He’s still under our contract.

Shame over 15 minutes of the 20 was taken up with Corporate prices for boxes. Something that will never affect 99% of us. That said, thought he answered the criticisms well.

Agreed. Upton and CWR wasting time on boxes was disappointing if they knew he was only on for 20 minutes.

But there was never going to be major answers around transfers in or out, thought he answered the Vik situation as well as he could, would like him to stay as we all would, one thing I gathered should he go it won’t be cheap.

Exactly what we need.

A good owner isn't one who makes popular decisions.

A good owner is one who makes the right decisions.

The trick is to be transparent about why those decisions are being made. If people can see its for the long term good of the club, most will support it

I think to be honest the prices had to go up and the only consideration was whether they go up incrementally or just in one go. He’s committed to one go and he will have to see how that pans out if that’s going to be a good decision or not.

In terms of people complaining on the timing of the announcement and that giving others an advantage doesn’t really stack up for me. The only place they’ve lost out on going is the family zone that everyone knew was going to be popular so if you wanted to move there you needed to get in quick.

As someone who sits in block 31 (fz) and is being forced to move as we don’t have a junior with us I can tell you the availability in the rest of the ground has barely changed from when season tickets went on sale to what it is now. There’s never anything being on sale in the east stand other than right in the corner where the north stand is. So we are waiting till the 3rd July for when seats become available. I’m sure when the 3rd July comes round there will be enough choices of where people want to sit even some addition in fz if you’re quick! I know of 6 that will be available just from us!

Exactly. A football club is a business and you can tell the way he take he knows what he’s doing. He has to do the upmost to fast track this club to a level we’ve lost.

Reflecting on his answers I'm impressed he comes across as someone who won't have a gun put to his head. Obviously with some of the less popular decisions time will tell if he's right and priced it right. The fact the boxes sold out in 12 hours with a waiting list tells you they were too cheap. I'm also with him that hospitality isn't a place for concessions the seat is used if its a child or an adult so why would there be a concession. I like how he handled the Vik question too very straight bat none of this Vik deserves to do whatever he wants as he banged some goals in that the club paid him to do. It does sound like he will go though obviously.

And let’s be honest it hasn’t been a “business” for ages not a proper football one anyway until now. It’s probably moving forward faster in a number of directions than King thought it would.

I have zero sympathy for box holders who were paying miles less than the going rate and allowing the average fan to cross subsidise their preferred way of watching football.

Either pay the going rate or join the rest of us in the stands.
