Everyone has different agenda’s, with leaving early to avoid the rush etc etc , but this is our year/season to enjoy every minute & back the lads & show our appreciation at the end of the game .
The premiership will be a completely different scenario, with the possibility of some heavy defeats, by the mega millionaire clubs , then at times, some might wish we were back in the championship ….., so let’s enjoy this fantastic season while we can ?

With respect, This is bollocks. There was every chance we could have got a quick goal back after they scored. Then we'd need every fan there screaming on the team.

I think we could have played all night and not scored to be honest. We were outplayed and out of ideas. A few extra people shouting wasn't going to change that in my opinion.

But on the bigger point, it was one game, late kick-off, during the Christmas holiday, its not been happening every week.

I stayed till the end but it's not my place to criticise those that didn't.

The leaving early thing is all a bit overblown. It bothers me more when we're one goal ahead and people leave, or people leave for the concourse after 35 minutes. I stayed to the end but I can walk home, if I was facing sitting in a car park for 30 minutes I might have been on my toes when the board went up

Biggest thing for me is the people not bothering to put their tickets up for resale. Not enough of an incentive apparently, well surely the incentive is that your seat is occupied and there is a few extra quid in the kitty for the club, what more incentive do you need?

Great news about the ticket pricing also.

I imagine from next season it will become compulsory to do either the exchange or scan in so many times. Happens with a lot of premier league sides
Well then we’d be stuffed because we just don’t have the childcare available to allow us to go to games, this season or next.

so Long as they don’t put in another performance like that then I doubt it will happen again, fans left because they were pissed off with the performance they were watching, and it’s ok saying but theyv‘e done well so far, we can’t drop to that level against anyone ,that was the worst game to not turn up in,
I dont disagree with anything you’ve said, but its not the first time its happened. Every single game people leave to go to the bar at 35 mins, and every single game regardless of result, people are itching to leave at 85 mins.

It annoyed me that people were leaving with a minute to go against Bristol with the game on the edge at 1-0. The players really did need that extra bit of backing to get over the line and you’ve got people shuffling across while others are trying to watch the game.

Think that happens at every ground, every game, all 30,000 fans aren’t Watching every minute of the game, happened against QPR when the 7th went in 😂

Out of interest, 1) why buy a season ticket knowing you cant attend most games? 2) what do you currently do with the ticket when you cant go?
Wife is visually impaired so if we give up the seats we have, we’d struggle to find anywhere for her to really see the game. That and we’d hoped for childcare to be more readily available than it has proven to be.

We have up till now been either putting tickets on the exchange or sharing with folks we know.

Anyone who thinks a few thousand people staying an extra ten minutes was going to change the outcome of that game is just as deranged as the clowns moaning because we're not averaging 3 or 4 goals a game in December.
No one, and I mean no one is suggesting the outcome would of been any digferent,
Any one who thinks this is Doug's issue is deranged.

What Doug wants to see is supporters sticking with the players right to the end, no matter what the scoreline.

Win together, lose together, stick together.

I never said thats what King said.
That's what people whove replied to my posts have said, or at least insinuated.

Exactly. He’s calling out bandwagon “fans” that arent really on the journey with us.
We are, rightly or wrongly, on the pathway to it being a privilege to be able to attend the games in person as we sell out the season ticket allocations and then the arena more broadly, he’s expanded home capacity to accommodate and is going to lower prices of upcoming home games to ensure full houses. Fucking sit in your seat and support the lads! He’s not asking for the fucking world!

Called this out against Ipswich.

Fully agree with DK!

Tbf, back in the league 1 days in front of 12K, at 2-0 at 85 minutes then ground would have emptied. It happens, although given where we are there is probably more reason to stay right now.

At Boro, their place started to empty after Simms scored. I remember away at Sunderland a couple of seasons back there were about 5K of them left in the ground by the final whistle. Happens everywhere.

We’re better to than that though

Got to admire DK - he cares.

Perhaps could have worded slightly differently, but tbh I love the sentiment and he is spot on - we have 11/12 home games left, got to make it count.

People shouldn't take it all literally, of course there are always reasons for people to leave early for example. There were clearly people who just couldn't be arsed after 2nd goal, that was disappointing to see and as for the moaning and groaning at not closing the GK down, dont get me started.

People being critical of King should just remember Sisu et al..... he cares, that counts for a lot.

Good messsge. Biggest chance of promotion in decades to the Prem. Fans need to support till the end in the ground. Frank was annoyed and just think the optics are really obvious to the players. Yeah results don’t always go our way but this season is very different. We’re top and need to get the team over the line.

I leave early because of this mental thing called ... i want to

You just do though. You didn’t leave in a grump because we’re losing. Think it was you who said the other day, you’d estimate crowds would drop by 10-15% if we slipped far enough down the table. I agree. Maybe it’s the same people.

same here, just think the game was hyped up that much how important it was it just fell flat soon as the 2nd went in, we had a huge chance to put 16 points between us, it’s a nervy atmosphere even when we’re winning so you can forgive fans for leaving a bit early , make sure they don’t have reason to do it again
Weren't we guilty of that in our own minds, I would have taken the draw beforehand

Lampard put it better himself actually, ‘This place is at its best with everyone sticking behind the team’ or words to that effect.

Maybe the ones who left were the ones he resold the exchange tickets to??? most of them have probably never been to a game before and didn't realise they weren't getting out of the carparks anyhow!!! If people want to leave cos it's cold and they thought we were beaten, they shouldn't be berated by the owner., not the way to make them return really.
