I think the point is valid. They came down here expecting a tough day and found us giving out presents.
Last week I expected a tough game against Gills and they didn't turn up,
Shows should never take form or league position as a gimme

They did have a tough day, both sides did. Its not like they've beaten us comfortably, they should be very pleased with their point as better teams than them will and already have left the Ricoh with 0 point this season.

Posted the highlights in the rcc thread as well previously, he makes a right pigs ear of the first save for the equaliser and defence didn't react

Donny were really off form today, what was wrong with your lot? How did you get to the top of the league? The ref today really tried to help you out but you still didn't do much. We've played better teams in the bottom half of the division and I thought we'd be under the cosh today. It's a funny old game this football, poor teams at the top of the league, it couldn't happen in any other sport.

Good luck, you'll need it.

We frequently play shit against shit sides. And as you know it happened again today.

This pissing around at the back with rcc keep playing it out to defenders will cost us more points if it dont stop. Its been obvious for the last few games now and only started when he replaced burge. Hes got away with it until today and it lost us the game

It helps our play more than hinder it though. It leads to counters and in some cases goals. We are 11 u Beaton so Rcc shouldn't change imo. So we let in a shit goal from playing out from baxk once every 10 games.or so? In long run it benefits us imo

We created enough chances to win but also gifted two goals and very nearly conceded a third, it was clear all game that we needed a two goal cushion, however it's another point, we still top of the table so we move on. We're going to draw more games and lose a few between now and the end of the season. We need to accept that and realise that we can't perform at 100% each week, if our players could then they'd be playing at a higher level. PUSB.

Cheer for this. In fairness I think completely based on the highlights we could have and should have scored 4 or 5 goals in this game. We had loads of clear chances that on another day would have materialised.

As for their goals, I think the first goal was down to having a young inexperienced keeper and tough conditions. He fucked up, but we can expect a few of them when you throw your youth keeper in to the starting 11. Other than today he's been class.

The second goal I'll chalk down to complacency really. Massive cock up from Fleck he could have played it back to keeps or just took his time and controlled it then hoofed it anywhere if nothing else. Again, happens now and then, after his goal I imagine noone will be more pissed off than him about it. People might say RCC shouldn't have played it to him there but I'm not so sure really, might not have been in an ideal position, and yeh with only a one goal lead I'd probably have stuck my foot through it but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Nothing really to lose confidence about, really pleased with the attacking chances created. Back to the training ground Monday and onto the next one! Again all based on the radio commentary and highlights

The reality is , whatever division of whatever league in whatever country , the top of the table team will occasionally have a below par day .
that being said i thought you were worthy of your point today , would i base where gillingham will finish after last week ? No ... Will i base our season on today like you did ? No .
good luck this season ,clearly you are pleased with your point ..well done

11 unbeaten in the league - our best run since 1967.

I'm not too sure whether it's an achievement or an embarrassment that it's taken 48 years to just not lose 0 out of 11 league games.

But I think that is the way TM has RCC playing, to quickly get the ball out. Fleck was no particularly under pressure, it was just an awful giveaway and pretty much a gimme. Can't see how anyone can blame Charles-Cook for the second goal.

Definitely him for the first one though for sure.

Yeah I meant that we'd put two past them. That's what happens when you post something when you're leaving the pub having had a few. Just seen the goals on C5+1.

Charles cook looked hesitant for d second goal he should have been quicker off d line to close down d angle I think he should have stopped both goals but he's a young keeper so will make mistakes I think he was afraid of getting hurt wit the second goal

It was Fleck's fault for the second. Playing the ball blind on the edge of your own box is criminal.

Even the 'best' players in the world have a bad game from time to time ... remember the song LETS ALL SING TOGETHER???? would be nice to see instead of our fans arguing with each other FFS !!!
We have a young and up until now good goalkeeper, we have a youngish team, we have a top goal scorer,we have lost 3 games in the league in 20, we have scored 38 goals and have a plus 17 goal difference we are top of the league and you still want to fucking argue !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Correct but we were over doing it today need to get it out quicker.
The problem was that had 9 players in defence, we struggled to break them down I thought we were more like the away side at times, still think with our chances on anther day we would have had 4 easy.

I thought Donny looked decent today and were unlucky not to win after hittin the bar. We were off our game though today. Then again if we can perform below our usual standards and still avoid defeat then I'm happy.

As for RCC, LAST is having a laugh he's far superior to Burge.

Like I said it is all about opinions, I never said Burge was better then RCC just don't think the gap is as big as you try to make out.
As for Oggy you really haven't got a clue.

They were ok but looking at our chances at 2-1 we could easily have won a game we didn't play well in which in itself is an excellent sign

A game we should have won. Mistakes by both keepers and an error by our player pf season fleck. We didn't lose ...we are still top ...we are unbeaten at home. Yes a disappointment but only because of the high standards this season.
We have young lads learning their game. They will continue to improve and if this group stay together for the rest of the season then we should be ok

RCC is confident. Burge isn't.

RCC is good at catching the ball. Burge isn't.

Otherwise they are close.

We had plenty of chances to put them to the sword yesterday but failed, Armstrong didn't really get into the game and our midfield looked a little overrun at times. I was surprised we didn't make changes yesterday but at least it's not a loss. One thing is for sure this league is going to be tight!

Well I've just seen the goals back. That second one for them! No words, other than repeating that a costly error in that way has been long overdue. I'm all for avoiding the hoof ball, but we become quite predictable when we try to play it out from the GK on every occasion. And where was Fleck looking when he tried to play the ball? Better option would have been to play it back to RCC, but even that could have caused us problems due to the numbers bear our box that Donny had.

Armstrong took his finish well, and the others were just keeper blunders.

I thought Donny's tactics were spot on, dropped deep to try and nullify our pace and continuously hit us on the break.

Poor game from RCC and Stokes for me but goes to show how high our expectations are and on the whole I'm happy with the point.

Its a shame we didn't win the game, we had enough chances to! I'm not too disappointed as on another day we could have won and quite convincingly. The goals we gave away were gifts, they didn't outplay us. Fleck's goal the same but we had so many good chances to score other than that. Armstrongs 1 on 1, Murphy hitting the post and before we conceded for the second time we had 3 or 4 chances that seem to just miss their right post.

RCC at fault for both goals but he's a young keeper and hasn't really done a lot wrong before yesterdays game. We move on and if we get the right result against Sheffield today won't matter.

Met Armstrong and Murphy outside the club shop outside Tesco's didn't get a chance to speak to them. Bloody kids and their photos!

Mistakes can happen to the best of people, you accept them and learn from them. But how can you fully learn from them if people constantly making excuses and sugar coat it to try and absolve them of blame, part of the learning process is accepting responsibility for your mistake.

Nothing wrong with having an opinion. We should all have one. I know what it is like to have an opinion that differs to most people. I was calling for SP to go when most wanted him to stay. As in he saved us when we started on -10 points. But I gave my reasons why I thought he should go. We had debates on each others views.

Now we come to Burge and RCC. I said that RCC is confident and is good at catching the ball. I also said that Burge lacks confidence and isn't good at catching the ball. Otherwise they are similar. You said I am wrong in your view. Would you like to expand on this? Which part is wrong? Then we can have a debate.
