Any reason why sisu allowed us to bring together a great title winning squad when we were losing money hand over fist to play in Birmingham but when we're not far from a playoff championship team they decide it's time to asset strip?

Because it didnt cost as much? I had thought that a bit of a change had happened, but it doesnt seem to be the case. When we were originally relgated from the Championship I think our annual wage bill was around 9 million, further reductions were made, until we got to around the 3 / 4 million mark. They seem happy to let us run at around those figures, obviously with the promotions the costs have risen, and they arent will to fund it. Its daft, doesnt make sense. Being an established championship club makes us much more attractive to new owners...

It’s just smacks of SISU not actually having any cash to invest, even to fund any short term cash flow holes. On the positive side, I’d imagine this means they’d seriously consider credible offers for the club

As Fisher once told us ”we cant afford to be in the championship”
translates to “ we dont want to spend the money in the championship”

we need new owners with ambition who would back Robins without being stupid.
the way we are being run can anyone blame Robins if he went some where else

As I've always said... its a choice.
We are told we have a bottom five budget but it is never explained why that is.

What bothers me is they’ve probably a different idea of “credible” to you & I.

Trouble is, they will want an INcredible offer for the club.

So long ago but I thought it was around £12M-£14M . overall operating £22M losses around £8M per annum?
Possibly doing better on income now but wages in excess of £15M, losses circa £5M

Never easy seeing your favourite players leave. Blood is starting to boil at the thought of flogging our best defender in a state of panic with no intention of adequate replacement.

What are you basing the "no intention" on?

Track records, history and our weak financial state?

Also, “no intention of adequate replacement”

Not best pleased with it either but let’s see what the probable price is and whether anything goes to robins. Not holding out much hope but will judge once we know…although ‘undisclosed’ is likely to be the figure.

Ah ok, no ones actually said it though. Never know, fee could be higher than being speculated, I'm sure we've got a list of targets for every eventuality

My gut feeling is a stinker of a season, with time to still see players leave. Will probably be blasted for my negativity but can’t seem to shake that hunch.

I'm breaking from charachter and staying optimistic. Sad to see Hyam go, but if it keeps us operating... and hopefully Robins gets something to spend, we know he can find a bargain. Reckon it's too early to be getting downhearted
