Everyone is just a sheepI didn't see it, but they were just talking on the radio about the Royal Variety Performance. When a performer came on and impersonated Starmer he was roundly booed by the audience. A barometer maybe?
Everyone is just a sheep
No those who think Starmer is an enemy of the state, too left wing, too right wing, get their news off gb news and x and believe tha Farage is the answerEspecially those morons who dribble after Polanski

Let’s go with Farage then what’s the worst that can happen hey ffsWe are living in an era where Zack Polanski gets 17% of the vote - it’s safe to say scrutiny of policy and integrity in politics is pretty low and silly sound bites win votes
The problem is that the centre is fekked. If it became a straight shoot out between the extremes and that meant Farage and that nutcase, I dont think you'd like the result. If you’re not a pussy marching vegan, I simply dont see the appeal.Let’s go with Farage then what’s the worst that can happen hey ffs
Tbh I can imagine this goes pretty hard if you’re 13 (sorry about the biased caption)Queing to get in the SkyDome last night I was behind 3 young lads, I assume brothers. Would guess the eldest was 12 or 13 and a couple of younger kids.
All spending their time on their phones scrolling while waiting to get in. Could see what they were looking at and it was a never ending stream of Reform, Tommy Robinson, MAGA, Tate etc.

I’m sorry Rob, this looks a bit of a double standard when asylum seekers and any other ‘undesirables’ are smeared by the press when similar crimes are reported.I've just been reading about that weirdo who has been drugging and raping his wife over a long period and allowing other men to rape her too. 60+ offences, absolute scumbag and deserves whatever comes his way.
But ... this is where I get annoyed with politicising everything and I'd say the same whatever the side of politics he was. When I was growing up, I always had the tabloids were the gossips and the broadsheets whilst slightly left or right leaning, reported facts and were trusted sources.
The list of headlines had a number saying 'Husband and five other men charged with sex offences against ex-wife' until I get to the Guardian 'Former Tory Councillor in court accused of drugging and raping ex-wife'.
It's sensationalist trash to do nothing more than smear rather than report. They should be better than that. I'm not disputing he was a Tory Councillor either, just that it bears no weight on the horrific crime itself.
It is double standards but Rob is right it doesn’t need politicisingI’m sorry Rob, this looks a bit of a double standard when asylum seekers and any other ‘undesirables’ are smeared by the press when similar crimes are reported.
Why on earth would you give credence to any politician. No those who think Starmer is an enemy of the state, too left wing, too right wing, get their news off gb news and x and believe tha Farage is the answer

Better than anarchyWhy on earth would you give credence to any politician.![]()
People don’t really think Farage is ‘the answer’, this is a line you keep parroting without really interrogating. No those who think Starmer is an enemy of the state, too left wing, too right wing, get their news off gb news and x and believe tha Farage is the answer

I’m on about headlines that focus on the religion or asylum status of the criminal. It’s done with exactly the same goal in mind. That is because they are massively overrepresented in certain crime statistics. There is a difference between not reporting that and sweeping it under the carpet versus naming the political leanings of a criminal in a case that has nothing to do with politics.
If it was the Sun, Mail or Express etc I'd agree. I just expect (perhaps wrongly) better of the broadsheets. It is double standards but Rob is right it doesn’t need politicising
Are you referring to Tory councillors or immigrants here? That is because they are massively overrepresented in certain crime statistics.

There needs to be a third "viable" option Pete, im not saying reform are the answer, but the answer sure as hell ain't another Labour or Tory government.Let’s go with Farage then what’s the worst that can happen hey ffs
It is. The pity is a genuine centre left government focused on the cost of living could have guaranteed power for a generation and seen off the likes of Reform at the same time. There needs to be a third "viable" option Pete, im not saying reform are the answer, but the answer sure as hell ain't another Labour or Tory government.
If reform do get in at the next election, it will be because the other parties have lost the trust of the people. Thats a damming indictment of modern day politicians.
Or even a centre right government. It is. The pity is a genuine centre left government focused on the cost of living could have guaranteed power for a generation and seen off the likes of Reform at the same time.
If you look at the direction of travel for politics in most English-speaking and European countries, not to mention the strong anti-incumbent feeling worldwide then I struggle to see how this would actually happen. It is. The pity is a genuine centre left government focused on the cost of living could have guaranteed power for a generation and seen off the likes of Reform at the same time.
Would need to be a centre left party that head on tackles immigration. It might be arguable whether it should be, but I think it's the number one priority for a lot of voters. Anyone who looks like being interested is labelled racist and that solves nothing. Lots of the working population see themselves as working hard, not being rewarded, costs rising and put the blame on immigration. I think we know that's not all of the reason, but it's an easy soundbite and is a factor. Until we have sensible open conversation about it, mainstream politics is finished. It is. The pity is a genuine centre left government focused on the cost of living could have guaranteed power for a generation and seen off the likes of Reform at the same time.
Does anarchy doesn't mean what you think it does?Better than anarchy
Okay would you say his stance on Palestine is the right way to take the country compared to the migrnt hotels etc?No those who think Starmer is an enemy of the state, too left wing, too right wing, get their news off gb news and x and believe tha Farage is the answer

Centre right governments advocate for policies that exacerbate rather than solve these problems in my opinion.Or even a centre right government.
I really think you could divide up the different ‘sides’ of the electorate into those who blame immigration for this and those who don’t.Lots of the working population see themselves as working hard, not being rewarded, costs rising and put the blame on immigration.
You say that, but what policies would do this in your view?It is. The pity is a genuine centre left government focused on the cost of living could have guaranteed power for a generation and seen off the likes of Reform at the same time.
90% probably. I imagine there are a number who see it as a factor without being the only reason.I really think you could divide up the different ‘sides’ of the electorate into those who blame immigration for this and those who don’t.
