definitely a massive f*cking hippie, too with all that 'forgiveness' sh*t. Pacifist as well. Don't get why American hardliners bother their arse with him the more I think about it.
'We need to restore Judeo-Christian values bruh'

“If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be. Take care lest there be an unworthy thought in your heart and you say, ‘The seventh year, the year of release is near,’ and your eye look grudgingly on your poor brother, and you give him nothing, and he cry to the Lord against you, and you be guilty of sin. You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake. For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

Here is a great video from Triggernometry. Whilst it will probably fall on deaf ears, exactly like he says, I would still advise everyone to watch it.

Turned it off after the first 15 seconds to be honest as it starts on a false premise. What did this gentleman have to say about January 6th, out of interest?

Sometimes, you need the shock therapy. We’re arguably already in a death spiral of raising taxes continually to fund a public sector that is no longer delivering basic services to a good standard. The tax burden is being shifted onto the productive sectors of the economy (private sector & wealth creators). This invariably hollows out the tax base and this will impact ordinary workers to pick up the bill.

Even during the period of ‘austerity’ total government spending increased. Many cuts were ‘real term cuts’ i.e. actual spending increases, just not in line with inflation. If government revenues aren’t increasing because the economy is stagnating, then the costs of running everything just gets higher which is what precisely happened.

I've often wondered what would happen if you introduced the Bible Belt of America to the teachings of Christ as laid out in the actual bible. Going by that Jesus would hate America.

Roughly nine minutes of a man wrestling with a teleprompter and explaining why he was right and everyone else was wrong - fascinating.

I stuck with it, by half way through I was convinced it was a parody, albeit a bad one. Turns out it's not.

Not sure what is supposed to make it the a "great video", its the same old tropes.

Another person who ascribes character traits to ‘the left’ based on their politics.

Nice to see Nige has moved on from 'let's get rid of all illegal immigrants' to "let's just kick out all foreigners '

To be fair from what I’ve read the issue is that he can’t get the necessary measures through congress where he doesnt have a majority. The markets are concerned about ongoing uncertainty (support for Miles dropping due to corruption scandal) and losing faith he can deliver economic and spending reforms necessary to get them out the shit. Sounds like everywhere else, the right can’t keep their hand out the till and the left want to spend money they haven’t got

Can you not see why it is different from the UK as the issuer of pounds sterling?

??? I wasn’t comparing them to the uk. Other than a flippant comment about left and right across the world which i stand by

You were the one who had originally made the comparison linking MMBs post to argentinas current mess. I presumed you were suggesting it was due to Milei and his ‘disaster capitalism’ so I was explaining that from what I’ve read the problems run deeper ie they need to bee seen to be controlling spending which they can’t do because they don’t control congress and corruption in government is leading to uncertainty for markets. Sounds like they might need to float Peso but haven’t read enough into it to have an opinion

they might as well not bother now. No chance you persuade enough people to take you seriously and make it viable. Might ask for my ÂŁ10 back.

There is obviously a gap politically as there is no longer any party of the left at all. The greens have a maniac in charge so if Corbyn gets some actual strategists around him it will get support.

I’m not sure the general public shares your thirst for McDonnell

Well they certainly have no thirst for Starmer or Reeves do they?

Clearly not. But the idea that people are waiting on McDonnell before deciding where to send their allegiances seems a bit odd. You have a very strange admiration of him.

I didn’t actually say anyone is waiting. I said it would help Corbyn’s support by having another credible figure from the left on board. I don’t see what’s strange about my opinion of him at all. If he was 10 years younger he’d clearly be a viable alternative for the centrist nonsense we have in power now.

Your opinion of him is very strange given you’ve written lengthy love letters about him on here, despite having once called him “the most dangerous man in politics who needs to be stopped”

What’s truly strange is your investigative journalist skills seem restricted to my posts on a football forum. Still when you are only doing horoscopes at the Basildon I guess you need something to do.

I hardly have written lengthy love letters have I. I have done a thread praising his integrity but I’ve always been opposed to his Sinn Fein suckuppery

I remember when you used to be able to recall stuff that people had posted on here too - not anymore, I guess.

I’ll give your ode to Mr McDonnell another bump here now that you’re awaiting his political comeback - maybe someone will reply to it this time!

Im well aware what I said? It’s not a love not it’s a desire for a return to conviction politics.

I said this as well

Is there no news at all in Basildon this week?
