Do you reckon grand parents in the early 1800’s were pissed off that their kids and grandkids took the smallpox vaccine for granted?

Just so you understand the science a bit better, this technique is of course much refined from those used in the early 1800s where the lymph was not administered by injection but into cuts in the recipients arm.

This dangerous concoction is then put into tubes and injected into the bodies of babies, and adults who wish to enter the military, naval, civil, railway, and other services. The calves are sold to butchers at a cheap rate, and afterwards eaten by the public. In the above photo workmen are seen scraping the calf’s sores open to collect the poison.”
