Just so you understand the science a bit better, this technique is of course much refined from those used in the early 1800s where the lymph was not administered by injection but into cuts in the recipients arm.
“What is called ‘pure glycerinated calf lymph’ is the lineal descendant, for vaccination purposes, of cow-pox, horse grease, swine-pox, donkey-pox, goat-pox, buffalo-pox, humanized lymph, chloroformed calf lymph and a few other beastly poisons. The above photo shows how calves are outraged in order to obtain it. The abdomen is shaved, and then stabbed from 100 to 120 times with a spear-headed lancet blade. The wretched animal, thus mutilated, is thrust back into its stall, and its head and legs tied to prevent it licking or scratching its wounds. After six days agony, the poor calf is subjected to another revolting piece of barbarism. The healing scabs are scraped from its wounds and the filthy exuding matter collected into a gruelly mass. It is then mixed with glycerine, which is a nutritive medium for the growth of petrifactive and other germs which invade the whole of the fluid. This dangerous concoction is then put into tubes and injected into the bodies of babies, and adults who wish to enter the military, naval, civil, railway, and other services. The calves are sold to butchers at a cheap rate, and afterwards eaten by the public. In the above photo workmen are seen scraping the calf’s sores open to collect the poison.”
