Kick It Out was the kind of anti-racism campaign racists would like, barely noticeable other than reacting when something happens and disappearing again. This gesture is in front of them every week and they hate it

So if they adopted the nazi salute and told you it was an anti racist sign, youd be fine with that?

As a ST holder I can see myself having a fair few arguments with knuckle dragging scum if the booing continues

It's beyond me why people refuse to listen about the knee's meaning, to the person who originated its recent use, and the footballers who use it now... but are quite happy to listen to the racists who have tried to distort its meaning.

It can only be because those peoples' voices are silenced, therefore needing such a protest.

Is it? the stupid thing is your continuous refusal to accept the fact that taking the knee is synonymous with the BLM movement, just because clubs are saying it isn't the intention of the gesture, it doesnt stop certain people refusing to accept it.
But hey you keep blindingly going down that road, and others will keep booing it and you will continue to not understand it until eventually the gesture is dropped, or pre match violence ensues, which would be ironic over what is meant to be a peaceful demonstration of support and respect.

Personally I dont give a fuck about it, its literally less than 3 seconds, I'm not going to boo or clap, I'm just there to watch my team,
I've done my bit to point out what I believe is the contentious issue behind the booing, it's up to you if you choose to understand it or not.
Ultimately all I care about on saturday is the 3 point!

Comparing taking the knee to a Nazi salute. Wow, I really have seen it all now.

Also Bez has 18 posts in 10 years, most of them about racism, so it’s presumably someone’s alternate account they use to spout racist shite instead of doing it on their main account.

Well that's your opinion.
But ultimately, if the club announced free beer for every drinker over 18, some fucker would still boo it.
And I'm sure no black player feels they cant take the knee for fear of being boo'd I'm sure they couldnt give a fuck about the less that 1% of morons out there, the 99% of decent people are the ones that matter.
For what it's worth I feel that the booing will disappear after a few weeks, as it's a novelty to the brain dead at the moment and they'll get bored eventually.

As a person of colour I can tell you the booing absolutely does impact how I feel. It tells me that people believe I have no right to peacefully make a stance against racism which is rampant in society. As soon as people of colour congregate in the street to protest, we’re labelled as hooligans and disturbing the peace. If it’s done silently and respectfully by taking a knew it’s booed. What’s your solution? Just continue to accept receiving racist abuse and ignore it? It’s 2021 those days should be long behind us

The reality is no white person has the right to tell a person of colour how they should feel about racism

Then as a white person I can only apologise to you for the minority of morons who continue to make you feel uncomfortable in any way in this day and age.
I can assure you that the vast majority of City fans do not accept any form of racism.
I'd be interested to hear of any ideas you may have to make people more likely to attend home matches.

To be honest mate people go to football matches to watch good football. So as long as robins keeps churning out results and performances we’ll be fine.

The reality is though, and listened to klopp for a fantastic interview with the head of the Liverpool lgbt group, as long as fans are outwardly showing discrimination whether racist, homophobic or whatever else it is gonna put people off.

I am all for taking the piss out of opposing fans and the crowd rivalry is a huge part of the excitement. When it becomes that people are discriminated against it goes too far.

The reality is I know if I go to certain games with my old man (which I do). There are certain places, let’s take millwall as the example, whereby we could easily be on the end of racist abuse.

Imagine you’re getting ready for a match day, looking forward to the buzz of the game, having a few beers etc. but at the back of your mind you’re thinking ‘I wonder if me or my dad will get racially abused today’

Like pause to think about that a minute and how that can detract from what otherwise is our favourite time of the week

People think booing the knees is not the same as it’s not as overt as directly racially abusing someone but by saying I don’t agree that you have the right to stand up against racism, it really does feel like the same thing
