This made me smile

Forgotten advert Gorbachev made for Pizza Hut re-emerges online

Gorbachev in 1997 filmed an advert for the American pizza maker - one of many Western companies that were able to enter Russia in the years following the breakup of the USSR in 1991

I feel all weirded out by this one. Was speaking to someone early this morning with a little mark on his head, albeit not half as distinctive as Gorbachev’s. It made me think of “that Soviet Union guy” whose name I couldn’t think of. And then I heard the news. The people I was with gave me a weird look because I’d reacted as if I’d just had an epiphany.

The one Russian leader who I had time for. He thought about the world, not just Russia. RIP Mikhail.

Beat me to it. I know it's arbitrary, but anyone under 75 seems unfair, really.

For us older geezers, we'll all remember the great Bob Wesson who has sadly passed away aged 81. Great goalie. RIP Bob.

Just to add to the death of Bill Turnbull, please get yourself to the Dr if something doesn't feel right. Prostate cancer isn't easy to diagnose. In Bill's case hip and leg pain was all had and he ignored it.

It’s surreal knowing that this constant presence has gone.

I think most of us had this one. On 2/5 now, will be a struggle for a clean sweep before the end of the year now.

More recently in Man Down which I though was pretty good.
That's both Greg Davies on screen parents from the show gone, Rik Mayall played his dad.

Died in his sleep it said. Probably best way to go ? I've just sorted my funeral out, paid it all off so it's done now. No fuss or bother quick cremation, told them make sure I'm dead though !

Just think me and Houch and Ozzy Osbourne won't be around to see the Sky Blues back in the Premier League. Stick a few bob on that.

Notice I didn't say "ex" missus then. That was for legal and police interview reasons.

My new missus is lovely.
