Funny how the "Ness" to Stoke transfer has been wrapped up so quickly, yet Fleck is still not signed

CET reporting that we "Lead the chase for Fleck", typically it adds no further detail to back that statement up. Sounds like pure speculation and raising fans hopes!

People need to be realistic about this, is it a coincidence that this story came out few days before the deadline of Early Bird Season Tickets? I think not.

Difficult to see how they can splash the cash though. Seems as though everyone in the Championship last season found ways of signing players on paper you'd think they'd have no right to afford-still, to hell with FFP, the League are happy to stand by and do nothing.

Oh I know BSB .......... not likely to have any cash for a long time to come unless income improves........ but the club hasnt had much ambition in what it has done for far longer than the last 12 months.

I dont mean reckless spending ...... more a plan to achieve.

I don't see how they can really achieve anything even if they had football at the forefront of their concerns. Turnover is far too small to support even modest staff costs relative to what we have on board now alongside the administrative expenses. Unless someone comes in and hands them a gigantic sum of money, they're eternally screwed with this venture; they have concentrated so much on cost cutting and so little on earning extra revenue (loans from SISU don't count). Either the entire business is seriously downsized, some insanely rich person comes forward, or it goes under.

A life with SISU will be death by 1000 cuts... Administration is the only way IMO ... someone else will come in then.. and the support will be back...

Don't know why we spent so long trying to stick to a budget when nobody else in that league does!

I cant see any team having a budget more than 4 million!!! the rules have hit sheff utd hard they have to rebuild!

As a result i dont think there will be much between the top 6 clubs!

the 65% rule will hurt a few clubs, though looks like MK Dons will be in the best shape!

We just need to start recruiting two players in my eyes havent been missed, 2 players have so will wait and see what happens in the next but we need to start recruiting, lets hope Fleck is the first!

Fleck — a target for Coventry City — said: “It’s terrible. You’d never think something like this could happen to a club like Rangers.
“But a couple of people have taken over the club and just told lies.
“It’s not been great for the boys or the staff at the club"

From the Scottish Sun, don't worry Flecky, come to Coventry its nothing like that here....

I have a Rangers supporting mate at work and he said Fleck is a good player but will never be a top player because his attitude is poor.

The Daily Record says Charlton are favourites to sign Fleck & Sheffield Utd are also interested. He says he doesn't like the chaos at Rangers. Comiing here would like jumping out of the fire and into the frying pan, wouldn't it?

Apparently Rangers fans think he has signed for us on £5k a week but i seriously doubt we would offer half that!!

I have followed Rangers my whole life (not supported) Fleck is a huge talent, massive talent in fact. His attitude is sh*t tho, he has so much potential to unlock and could be a top EPL player if he put his mind to it.

Would be a dream signing for us.

Kevin Kyle was good enough for division 2 in his day haha, lanky useless striker he was! It's a lot of hype around Fleck I admit, but the talent is there.

£4m split between say 20 over age players (so not Bigi Thomas Christie etc. ) is £200k a year each or just under £2k a week per player, including bonuses remember.

So £5k basic on one player is a hell of a lot, even if he's our "big name signing".

We haven't got 20 overage players though! How much are the youngsters on? And how big is our squad?

And people are saying don't panic? Never mind Richard Shaw, we should have signed Corporal Jones as our new Assistant Manager! And yes, I'm Frazer

Reading that list is pretty damn disconcerting. To think that ROD is one of our most experienced players
