Out of the two which one do you think would be more likely to get promoted?

But still stratospheres apart in every way. The parachute payments ensure the Well run clubs yo yo. A bit like Norwich.

We’ll of course the parachute payments and resources available to Norwich will mean the usual bounce back for them although doesn’t always follow.

Does make me smile that despite all efforts to not leave it until the last minute, the majority of the deals will have taken place so late in the day, we won't find out who's moved where until Saturday morning.

Sam's gone then. And then back. Does that count as an in and out today?

I imagine hiwula will go.

Williams or Thompson to be loaned out for a month. I'd also be tempted to loan out Eccles if possible just for a month but realise we have alot of games coming up

Being reported that Crystal Palace have made a bid for Norwich’s LB. If that goes through, likely that Sam will be kept at Norwich as they don’t have any other out and out LBs.

Also Westbrook’s been linked with Leeds for £2million+

Tyler Walker has been recalled by Forest, so possible Lincoln may come in for Hiwula as they’ve been linked with him recently

Hoping JCH gets his move today or is unsettled tomorrow and can’t play.

I would say that if two million plus was bid for any player we have they would be off.

Will be Interesting to see what happens today. Other than McCallum I think there may be 1 more out on a perm with maybe another 1 out on loan. Not sure who.

Don't think we will sign anyone but would be pleasantly surprised if we did.

I’m pretty certain the club will be looking to get someone in if McCallum leaves. Surely

We can't loan players to other league clubs for just a month, it has to be half a season. They would have to go to non-league clubs for a shirt loan and that doesn't need to be done today.

Why? We already have a good replacement for him and Newton in the u23s looks like he could be a player

There is a bloke at Scunthorpe who’s name escapes me who would be the perfect understudy to Mason, Junior something?

Mcgeady has gone on loan to charlton ,

I would love to see us go for another striker someone like Amond from Newport . I know he’s a bit old but has a decent record in my opinion

I think it would be pretty poor if we didn’t strengthen. Sunderland are really going for it now

If Norwich try that it will probably scupper the deal

Or add £500,000 to the fee, perhaps?

(Although bowing in deference)

With Sam returning on loan, we are as strong as we were. Money balances books. Even if we are getting £3m, it will only arrive in bits. Think only a loan if anything (and that will be if at least one of Hiwiula/Baka goes).

Only worry is if Godden gets injured, Baka and Hiwula obviously aren't wanted and that just leaves Max as cover...

And that’s it. If we do sign someone I think we should be looking to get players out the door to accommodate them. Where do we need improving? Have we got cover at centre half? It feels like we’ve got enough midfielders. People keep talking about a striker but who and we’ve got a few of them?

Problem with strikers is their usually more expensive in January off the top of my head I can’t put my finger on one lol Leon Clarke maybe but it’s then wages can we afford players like that.A young loan with pace to give us that other option possibly.

Yeah 100%. Striker in if Baka or Hiwula goes, otherwise we are fine.

Our squad for the first time in a long time has quite Alot of value.
Rose
Hyam
Dabo
Mason
Allen
Shipley
Mason
Westbrook

All would command decent fees at this level and I can't remember a time we've had so many assets.

The clubs model is working as it should, and that's a good thing
