I’ve stayed up till 1:30 to watch Head and Labuschagne bowling filth and still manage to get someone out. Furious.

Bowlers just aren't good enough. Beginning to think when they do hit a "hot" patch it's more luck than judgement.
Absolutely no point bowling fast if you don't have any semblance of control.
If they had the ability then they'd be able to adjust line/length during an innings. These don't.
One of the imbalances of (or may be reasons for) Bazball is the need for batsmen consistently to bail out poor bowling performances.

Part of the problem is the batsman don’t bat long enough to let the bowlers rest between innings this doesn’t apply today

Pathetic.
Dropped catches a recurring theme going back through the summer. Surely one of the easier things to rectify.
Potts looks like a bowler short on cricket. But surely they should have had him in the nets early working on his line.

That dropped catch totally took the wind out of the English crowd. Really is so so bad. Smith is 12 from 12 in this series and we’ve dropped two dollies in this innings already.

I'm sure Potts is a decent guy but there is no way he should be anywhere near the England team, there has to better than him surely? I know Robinson has had his issues as well as a fall out with Stokes/McCullum but he had to be a better option than Potts.

Still only 35 so hopefully a few years left. Seems to have been around forever.

Stokes is 34 so they might both retire around the same time, can't help thinking we've got big problems then.
Alastair Cook retired around the same age didn’t he? Either way I’m not convinced Root will hang around too much longer.

Don't think he's the type of character to walk away from a sinking ship. Plus next year's overseas tour is South Africa which isn't an arduous one. If he gets runs in the summer he'll still have an eye on Tendulkar's record.

I got vengeance from the comfort of my living room. Fair to say Cook doesn't fit into my Bazball 2.0 style, and Root needs to pick up from his plodding run-a-ball nonsense or he's out.

But we didn't need to spend that time in the nets practicing remember? They needed to get away from the cricket and spend it playing golf instead.

If they spent more time worrying about playing for the Urn rather than thinking they're playing for the Ryder Cup maybe they wouldn't be such a poor, poor cricket team.

Such a very, very dislikeable set-up.
